Of the Elite balls I've thrown so far, this ball is the Bomb!

I drilled it 4x4 with a hole 1' past my axis.

It clears the heads pretty easily and catches in the midlane like nothing I've seen.

Not only does it react great....it is a great looking ball. I've had people tell me it reminds them of the old soakers (shore-D-pros).

It is supposed to be the pattern ball for when they are a little tougher, but it reacts wonderful on our league conditions.

From my understanding the Alien is the same core/cover combo only stronger!

This ball will work great on the tougher patterns not overreacting and reading the backends like a top. This is a great compliment for the cheetah because this one just provides a slight less angle to the pocket but both clearing the heads with ease. I drilled mine st8 up ... it had a 3 1/2 inch pin so I put the pin above my two fingers and pal st8 over center.

I am  cranker/tweener and this ball might read the lane a little earlier than the cheetah but both providing a super nice reaction! This ball with work well on starting conditions when the backends are stronger and the head oil is there. I dont see this ball working that great if no head oil is available but in the cases where they are then watch out!

Just like most crankers we look for pearl ball first and then look for something else. The cheetah and the scorpion are sorta like pearls and just providing that nice hook bowlers look for in a ball. Maybe soon these balls will come down in their prices if so everyone will have one because the performance is what people want and these lane pattern balls are awsome never the less!!! Absolutly a must have ball. John Davis
