Best pro shop in northeast? Ny/pa
« on: February 13, 2016, 11:44:33 AM »
I live in new York. Near elmira. Saw the post about the best in South East so I figured I'd get everyone's opinion on the best in the north east where I am as I'm not 100% confident in the driller I've been going to. I'm looking for someone in the area near me. May drive as far as binghamton or rochester which are about 1 1/2 hours from me. Not to familiar with pa but if there's someone that's within 1 1/2 hour from me there I would go there too.

Check out Sue Jeziorski at Cutting Edge Pro Shop in Buffalo, NY.  She's a former LPBT member, has had her shop for 30+ years, very knowledgeable about layouts, equipment and takes the right time to fit.  I found out about her shop from word of mouth among many of the top bowlers in the area and she's been drilling my stuff for more than 5 years now.  No complaints at all.  She also drills stuff for PWBA champion Liz Johnson, who I have seen in the shop several times (and got to have dinner with once).

if you come up to rochester, chris lamb at beginners to pros (inside clover lanes) is very good or they have another location with brian omara doing most of the work. Brad buckert bounces between both stores and all three of them are unbelievably knowledgeable and good at what they do.

I have been going to BowlerMaxx in York, PA.  They are inside Suburban Bowlerama.  I live in Baltimore, MD and it is about an hours away.  I see Terry Miller and he is the best.  It is well worth the trip to see him.  I recommend him greatly. He is the best!

Cheech, between Chris bRian and Brad, which is the best? I've been to theiron shop not in clover. And I've talked to Brad and Brian is always there, but i never had anything drilled there. I did buy a couple balls from there and take them else where. Are they all really good? I went to bowlers world in Rochester as well, didn't like the fit.

Cheech, Not a fan of Chris Lamb at all.  I would try beginners to pros in greece and talk to Frank or Brian.  I have also had good luck at bowlers world with Justin.

Justin drilled 2 for me. They just felt really awkward. I can't say they were terrible or wrong... just really weird. He measure me much small than my normal driller and idk if that was right or not. I'm no expert.

Best pro shop I've ever been to is here in Florida, Mike Seymour in Ormond Lanes, Ormond Beach Florida. He is part of bowlingball.com and they do online drilling if you send them one of yours. It's a perfect match and they will cover shipping costs. Or send them your spec card

Elmira? Check out Gary Palma in Sunset Lanes, in Kirkwood. I think he used to post here too.
