This is the first ball out of my bag on almost anything I bowl! The 1000 grit out of box surface may seem too much for some patterns but it actually just makes this a very smooth and predictable ball that does not mind oil at all. Compared to the sigma tour, the hybrid is stronger and more continuous from what I've seen and blends out patterns much more then the tour. I love how predictable this ball is and how comparable it is to the sigma tour.

 Review:
 The amount of hook this ball provides really surprised me. It was just under my Raptor P7. The Sigma Hybrid is a very strong arc type ball where the P7 has much more of a angular backend. This ball will be great on flatter shots, tournament shots or sport shots where control is key. I don't think this will be my first choice on a THS.
 I however tested this ball on our typical house shot (THS) and even though I would have had a better look with a Sigma Tour or Thrash the Sigma Hybrid did work well. It carried some light hits that I thought would be a challenge. I used the Sigma Hybrid with the box surface and later with 2000 wet sand then Polish. (I used the box finish for the video)The polish gave me a few more feet but I did not give up any control. The ball maintained its arching motion. The polish will help to get the weak ten out if it burns too early at box finish.

Summary:
 Alot of hook with control.
 This is a must have for the tournament bowler who bowls on flat, oily lanes.
 The more I bowled with the Sigma Hybrid the more I liked it.
 Polishes well but maintains the same motion, just later.
 This ball may have the same core as the Sigma Tour but is a completely different animal.

Review
I put one of my favorite drilling on this ball. At 3000 its a couple of boards stronger than my box finish Sigma Tour. The Hybrid has more mid lane read and a strong arc to the pocket.  First night of league shot 814 with a 300 game. On THS it gave me all kinds of room and carry. On a heavier sport it gives hook with control. If you bowl at a house that puts out a little oil for there house shot this ball will help carry out that 10 pin.

Good ball for med-heavy oil. Surface it easily adjustable. Great Carry.

The Ball: Motiv Sigma Hybrid   
Surface = 1000 light polish

The Sigma Hybrid is the strongest symmetric  ball ever produced in the Motiv line, rating just under my Raptor P7 in overall hook. The biggest difference from the Raptor to the Sigma hybrid is the hook shape. The Raptor has more of a pronounced asymmetric shape (sharper breakpoint) and the hybrid is smoother but super strong off friction. I’ve found the Hybrid to shine on medium to long flat sport patterns, but for me it also shines on normal house shots. Both types of patterns have a smooth midlane but tones of continuation on the backend. If you loved the Sigma Tour you’ll love the Hybrid for more oil. I would also recommend this ball for strokers looking for the same sigma tour reaction that the tweeners have. Personally I’ve been using this ball more than any other at this point due to the ball control and fantastic power.

In closing the sigma hybrid has a strong controlled reaction for medium heavy oil with the award winning sigma tour reaction.

Review:

The Sigma Hybrid was design with the award winning technology of the best ball of the year, the Sigma Tour. The new Sigma Hybrid brings back the sigma core; however the new Atomix Hybrid Reactive Coverstock gives that added bonus for the bowler to use this bowling ball on heavier oil conditions. The hybrid coverstock also makes the ball read earlier, have a more smoother ball motion, and still has that pop in the backend to kick out the corners. High rev players will love this ball because the ball reads so well on fresh and as the heads get beat of, the smoother ball motion with the coverstock will all you to move in and still keep that pop to kick out the corners. For the non high rev bowlers, this is the perfect ball for you because the Sigma Hybrid will give you length and nice strength and pop to knock down all ten pins.

Comments:

After drilling the Sigma Hybrid, I put 2 mins of polish and went to the lanes. I have to say my favorite ball last year and I thought nothing is going to top this, until now. The first few times I threw this ball I had to stop and catch my breath. I was blown away how well the ball looked, read the lanes, and crushing the pocket. On fresh, the Sigma Hybrid read the lane well, turned the corner hard and hit like a truck. I have never seen a bowl drive so hard through the pocket. This ball will dominate the fresh and as the heads get beaten up, the player can move left for a right hander or right for a left hander and it will still have that pop you need to kick out the corner.

I recommend this ball for all bowlers and styles
