Drilled up a HB about a month and a half ago for my son. It’s his first non motiv ball in years. It instantly became his alpha ball for house shot.  The shape it provides really is his bread and butter look and he has a couple 700s with it.  Subsequently we drilled up a Marvel Pearl for him and that became his co-alpha. A few 700s with that and an 800 even (albeit in practice).  The two of them have become great either/or options. Slightly different looks. If one isn’t quite the right ball for a particular house, the other one is. 

He has a lot of confidence in that HB. Great first impression from 900G. He qualified for Jr Gold a few weeks back and we are looking ahead to Arsenal development. More 900G is a consideration as is storm/Roto.  Motiv has left him underwhelmed the last year or so.

My question kind of fits here.  Thinking about picking up a HB was curious what would be a similar ball from Motiv.

My son threw strictly Motiv before we drilled the HB.  If motiv had something like it, we would have drilled it.

Color wasn’t the criteria.  :D

But I guess it was just a matter of time before they came up with a gold ball; everyone else seems to have.

Motiv doesn't have a 2 piece ball if I remember right.  Color less important than the RG and the hit imo.

I was more or less hinting at an upcoming release more so than reaction or 2 piece. If 2 piece balls were the save all to pin carry, then that's all that we would have to choose from.

The closest ball to the HB would have been an Octane Carbon or a Primal Rage LE with a coat of secret sauce on top of OOB finish .

Our area is all Storm, Motiv. Very little Global. Actually, only 1 guy throws 900G in a 32x4 competitive league.

Globals the company to watch...

Seems like the quality issues out of that San Antonio plant are a thing of the past and have nothing but good things to say about my HB so might be right.  Also have nothing but praise for Motiv's Venom balls which are their killer product line imo.
