Is there any way that the toe-cap can be made stronger? I rip through those things like a kid using an eraser on test day. Although the process to change the cap is not really that difficult, the caps do not fit properly. I wear a size 10, but the cap is not made for this size, leaving gaps. It also doesn't hold like the original, so within a short time, the new cap was coming off.
How about developing a toe cap protector, kind of like the power-step device that Dexter makes? i'd much rather use one of those and replace it as needed than to have to change the cap and it not fitting well.
Being that the 3G's were out of stock for such a long time, and I needed shoes, I purchased the Brunswick TPU-X. Believe me, IMHO, the 3G Tour Ultras are much better. After about 3 weeks of use, I am still have some issues as because the toe-cap TPU material is much softer than the material that 3G uses. On the very first day of use, there was noticable material rub away on the toe-cap of the TPU-X. If I didn't stick the loop side of velco on the cap (which does protect the rubber but messes me up because I drag my toe as brakes) the cap would be destroyed after a couple of weeks of bowling.
