Finally USBC approved! Speculation on what's inside?
-
Haha you've been trolling that list big time lol. I'd suspect that the info will be up soon or usbc jumped the gun.
-
Dang right I've been trolling the approved ball list! I need answers!
-
Sounds like a ball to follow the Protocol
-
Or the hard drive
With that name I would have a cool promotion, hopefully they have someone with marketing talent behind this..
They could build a "network" of new bowlers to sell more balls..
I liked the bounty promo...I didn't cash, but I bought the first 2...and was always using it!
-
Looks to be the hard drive line for sure
-
The ball motion still looks like the CFT core. That motion is very distinct.
-
Update. This ball is going to be the bomb. Can't say anymore.
-
It is the bomb....
-
I've got one and here's the numbers about 2.48 and .051 .030int. , its a protocol core. 74 cover. I practiced about ten games with it, also using protocol and hard drive to see the differences with balls all layed out the same with 5 1/2 inch pins right above the fingers. Its about 4 or 5 boards more overall hook than protocol, isn't as skiddish off of the oil. Not quite as angular of course, but saves a lot of energy on back. The hard drive is a more of a core dominant ball than The Network. I was able to get in deep on pattern and let it fly. Once ball is listed I will post a more in depth description.

Lower RG, higher diff and a stronger intermediate diff. Can't wait!

Video is up:

can't wait! ball looks sweet! with all of the success of the Protocol, this couldn't be a better follow up.
-
Ball looks MEAN! Don't even know the release date and have one on order.
-
To me the Protocol was good. But this ball is amazing. I haven't drilled a ball in a while and wanted to drill a case of them. its definitely my favorite 900 Global ball since the Break s75 so far. I havent really gotten it on sport patterns yet but it'll definitely be aTHS killer for me. The way it goes through the pins is impressive.

A little late for that... the specs have already been announced.
-
sorry Doom. I sent that several days ago.. It just got posted today :-[

Loved and still love the S75. Should be able to put holes in one tomorrow. Tdub, any worries that this will be too strong for a THS?
-
It's got more continuation than the s75. It depends on your THS. I'm on medium on one house and a medium heavy on wood at the other. It covers a lot of boards on both but it's slightly better on wood cause it is a little cleaner due to the higher volume. I've gotten to where I'm slightly rev dominant so it depends on how you throw it and where u like to play. It forces me further left than my other San Antonio stuff.

Wow, for a pearl and no polish it looks quite shiny, it looks even better in person. Now to figure out a layout. Stay with what I have with my Protocol, or go with a bigger D/A? Protocol is at 50x5x40. Suggestions?
-
Unconfirmed reports (meaning I haven't seen it with my own eyes) say that it's a full arrow stronger than the Protocol
-

I went with the same layout as my protocol. It's cleaner and much stronger downlane. It forces me at least 4 & 2 deeper but its been even more at times.

Thanks, decided on 70*x5"x40*. I like the Protocol, but wanted a touch more length than either that and Incinerate Pearl and Eagle Pearl. I'll give it a try in league tonight. We have what I feel is a semi-lower volume THS. Video and numbers show that this is a smooth, but strong moving ball. My thinking is that this ball will be able to be used on a variety of shots.

It out hooks my protocol with ease drilled the same way and It covers at least 5-7 more boards on the backend easy. The carry on this ball is freaking crazy :o. The balls does look better in person I think. :) Now I have to get a couple more with much longer pins.. Another Home run from Global.. 2 Thumbs up from me
-
Pulled out the Network for league last night. I know its just 2 games and some change (ball change in the 3rd game), and more than likely needs some more games to get a more accurate description. The biggest thing that I noticed was the ease of length and the overall strenght on the backend move. So far this is the biggest backending ball that I have thrown. I was absolutely blown away with the backend move. The Protocol has a more continuous move throughout the length of the lane. Where as the Network has a more pronounced reaction on the back part of the mids and a strong move off the dry. This will easily allow many bowlers to open the lane up. If this were any grit lower than a T pad (4K abralon) I am not sure if it could be used much on a THS. Very nice ball so far from 900 Global. I can't wait to get some more games with it on some other shots to do an honest review of it.
-
Just watched the video. The bal looks great as I love low RG/High Diff balls. One think I did notice is the graphic at the begining says the diff is .055 and then Nick says it is .051
-
He also mentions something about seeing 6"+ of flare. Either way this ball flares a ton.
-
YES it does have a ton of flair. ;D It's A must have ball in your bag. It's a great ball for your THS and Also works well on fresh longer oil patterns with some surface ajustments.. The ball should be available very soon at most proshops if not already..
-
What happened to the video? Anyone know? The video listed in this thread is marked "Private" now and all that I can find is one by Buddies.
-
I don't know where it went, but mine is on order.
-
Can we get a release date please :)
-
01/27/14
-
2nd week of use, still looks great! I have had a lot of heads turn. Carry and backend motion is phenomenal.
-
How great? I've had a problem recently when the mids breakdown and I need to move left I don't have anything that recovers too well. I love 900 global so I'd be looking at eagle pearl and the network
-
Id like to see side by side comparison to eagle pearl. I am on the fence about which to get
-
Tattoo4139 - Here's your answer. If you have never owned a Eagle/Break, then get both. IMO, they're different shapes, from what I've seen.
SVstar - From what you're saying, you might be better off with a Protocol then. IMO, Network is stronger. Don't know how it responds to surface prep, but I have a feeling S70 is going to get thru the mids a little cleaner than this cover.
-

Actually, I've found the Eagle Pearl to be a great step down from the Network. When the Network has been too early even after moving a fair amount in, the Eagle Pearl is easily the go to ball. It will be a bit cleaner and still provide a good backend move as well.
-
Now what's the difference between the Protocol and Eagle Pearl. I know the Protocol is a solid cover but I just haven't seen very much of either outside of a few videos

The Eagle Pearl has a much stronger core with 2.48/0.058/.019 vs. the Protocol's 2.53/0.042/0.023. The Protocol will give a longer and snappier motion whereas the Eagle Pearl, while still pretty clean through the front, will have a much stronger and smooth motion down lane.

WORD 2-5-2014. Video and release information is up on their Facebook page.
-
*grumble* Global making me a liar! *grumble*
Can't wait. Going to be a sweet release.
-
Looks like they changed the video to say the diff is .051 and not .055 on the graphic. Higher the better if you ask me.
-
I hope this ball is everything people are saying about it. There are alot of hefty claims being said on this site about this ball. Prove me wrong Global. I am also torn between the eagle pearl and this ball. Maybe ill just flip a coin, heads eagle and tails network.
-
Its going to land standing up lol.
-
bowlingman.. go with the Network :) to me the eagle pearl is a much weaker ball on the backend where the Networks not. I have 1 of my Networks surface to a N pad and another on a E pad. they are both drilled the same so when the N ball starts setting up to soon I switch to the E 4 the rest of the night with out ajust to much. 8) for the Eagle pearl I found myself getting the ball to deep and would have to slow my ball speed down ( normal ball speed is 19.5 MPH ) just a touch ( 18 MPH ) to get it back to the hole.. If the lanes are a touch drier then eagle pearl works perfect for me.. just my 2cents worth on both balls ::)
-
Oh boy i just threw a monkey wrench in this decision. Was browsing on ebay and came across a nib Solar Flare and put an offer in for $100 and was accepted. Pretty stoked about this purchase. Wanted this piece since it was released. Also put an offer on a nib Incinerate Pearl, just waiting for a response. Love my Incinerate so couldnt pass it up. How much stronger do you think the Network is compared to the Incinerate Pearl?
-
For me the Network is far stronger downlane. Usually forced me about 6 deeper with my feet on THS at OOB surface. Which is a lot for me on THS.....

So would you say compared to the Dirty Look the Network is earlier and a little smoother downlane?
-
I see much more reaction from the Network vs the Dirty Look. The DL was far cleaner and less backend for me. The Network gives me the strongest backend reaction from any 900 Global ball I've ever thrown.
-
I'm going to get down and buy 2, like the rest of the cool kids. Don't miss out!
-
The Network strikes again! Ron Hurt just shot 300 with his at the Military Bowling Championships - Active Duty Division in Las Vegas.
Been hearing nothing but "wow" coming from those fortunate enough to have thrown it already!
-
Another honor score with the Network, again from the Military Bowling Championships in Las Vegas.
Gary Chambliss shot 300 with his Network in the Retiree division and shot 1,001 for a 4 game set.
This ball is on fire so far!
-
The honor scores with this ball keep rolling in!
Billy Anthony of San Antonio, TX shot 300 last night.
A few days ago Jimmy Vance in West Virginia shot 299-290-248 / 837.
This is turning out to be one the best balls ever released by 900 Global!
Make sure to check one out in Pro Shops everywhere February 5th!
-
Another one with the Network!
279-278-278 / 835

Got mine yesterday......looks great and specs were as I requested.can't wait to drill it
-
I recieved mine along with a Black Eagle Pearl.
Good specs.
Just trying to come up with a couple of layouts to complement the strengths of each piece.
Will post my thoughts after I get some games on them.
