Review:
The Xponent features the Shrapnel 2.0 Core that was almost famous but overshadowed by the original 900 Global Zen. At that time, the Ordnance C4 was well respected and came with a hybrid coverstock. The new Xponent has already made huge waves in the professional ranks.
The Xponent comes with a solid coverstock, finished at 4000 Abralon. You can expect a clean reaction through the front part of the lane. From what I see, on the HPL surfaces I bowl on, the Xponent offers a great OOB combination to ensure optimal length and backend on most of your THS conditions. For sport, the Xponent will make the bag as an option in many cases.
First thing you will notice right away with the Xponent the OOB finish provides a nice arching and continuous motion. I tested this out on THS and after about three games rolled on the Don Johnson (40') pattern. The ball is very predictable which is the true strength of the Xponent. In my opinion the Xponent goes through the pins a tad better then its predecessor the Ordnance C4. The Xponent will be a great option as a starter ball out of the bag.
For me, I'm going with the OOB surface on the Xponent. The carry potential of this ball will be something special when lanes get tougher to navigate or the backends are sharp and you are looking to blend the pattern a bit with more control. Be sure to grab the new 900 Global Xponent today!
