Wolverine is an all new core and a sanded pearl cover. I think it's replacing the equilibrium/eon infinite spot.

It's a must a have for tougher patterns.

The video that 900Global posted showing the Wolverine reaction shows quite a strong reaction on the back end.  This thing will be a monster on a fresh house shot.

I understand it is all marketing.  But you notice how in this reaction video they made sure to put the pin at least 5 inches from PAP and pin up?  Also...I noticed some genius in the comments mention that Kloempken as having 500 revs?  LOL!!!  BUT.....with all that said. I am actually interested in this ball as a compliment to my Scorpion when I have to get deep and need that entry angle.  Color of the ball reminds me of the Deep Freeze.

I think a great step down has been needed since the zen. I cover the same boards with the revival as I do the zen lol.

Actually the Wolverine is a pinch stronger than the Zen.  There is a video from The Bowling Fix on youtube that shows from deeper angles, the Wolverine had more pop and recovery than the Zen.  I was a little surprised myself since the Zen is the ball everyone is talking about.  But this Wolverine very well may turn some heads with its recovery ability.

Having more back end and being stronger are two different things. The Zen is a good bit earlier and rolls more, definitely handles oil better than the Wolverine.

I understand that.  But if earlier always meant stronger then the IQ Tour would be stronger and we all know that is not the case.  What makes you so sure that the Zen definitely handles more than the Wolverine?  The video I watched from The Bowling Fix compares these two balls both playing straighter as well as from deeper inside and the Wolverine was just as strong playing straighter and definitely had more playing deeper.  Cant just look at cover or core to determine strength.  Have to consider the ball as a whole.  With the Wolverine being basically one color, it is more difficult to tell when it really starts to read the pattern whereas the multicolored Zen is easier to see.  But the Wolverine seems to recover better in oil based on the video.  I am going to attach the video so you all can see for yourselves.

I'm nowhere near as experienced as y'all here, but in that video the Zen looks to me to be earlier and burning off energy quicker.

To me after watching more videos, the Zen appear stronger in the front 30 feet and the Wolverine appears stronger in the back 30 feet.  I would have to say they are similar in strength and cover a similar amount of boards.  But the biggest and obvious difference is when that strength occurs.  The Zen is earlier and a pinch smoother but the Wolverine is cleaner and more backend.  I would really like to see JR and Luke do their videos while hopefully comparing the two.  With that said, it may be a bit premature to say the Zen definitely handles more oil when in the video, playing deep in the oil the Wolverine clearly outshined the Zen.
