I was just wondering, does 900 Global/AMF offer amateur staff contracts? If so, how would someone apply for a position? I didn't notice an FAQ section or anything on the website and I'm just curious...not to say I'd be granted one with my lack of bowling credentials but still.

Thanks!

I asked this recently and basically it was they don't. Well sort of. All of the bowlers that are on some type of deal also own pro shops. So really more of a promotional type of deal. The big thing they need is sales and from more sales will come more opportunities They do work with me through the tournaments I promote, but not personally. In any case they treat customers better than anyone could ask and I hope through the deal at Reno this year people begin to realize what a quality company and product they have.

Untrue...I know a number of WI based AMF/900G staffers who have some kind of deal with them and they do NOT own pro shops.  What kind of deal I am unsure but they have ability to get cheaper equipment.  In reality that is what everyone is always looking for.....good or bad.

Just what I was told. Could be their current or new policy. But I don't doubt they do some ball discount deals. I have that option as well, but in part because of my tournament promotion deal and I rolled 900/AMF in regional s before the withdrawal from the PBA by the company. When I think of staff, I consider that free equipment and other perks, plus ball discounts as well. I had a Storm deal years ago and that was my deal, even though I was not officially "on staff". No matter what 900 does or not as far as official staff deals,  they give the best customer service in the business and make great equipment.
