I finally broke down and ordered all 4 of the NEAT pads. I had considered trying them for a while now but never got around to it. So I have used them a little more now and wanted to share my experiences so far. First I used to it to change the surface on my Train back to the E pad. Then I figured I'ddo some experimenting. I took an original Break and hit it with an A pad and took it to the lanes. Visually they look much more uniform than an abralon. Sometimes with abralon it seems there is a few spots that it looks like you just missed when sanding them that isn't the case with the NEAT pads. The whole ball looks the same and looks very nice.
 
On the lanes it seems like it almost took a break in period for the surface to really kick in...The first few shots just seemed to go extremely long almost like a freshly polished ball but once I threw it about for about a game (maybe more like 6 frames) it seemed to come alive and I was jumping in to the middle of the lane. Has anyone else noticed this? After thinking about it it has seemed that every ball I have bought that has the NEAT surface OOB has kinda been the same way. Makes me wonder if I am imagining this or if it is something that has some validity. Seems weird that it would be that way though. I think they are gonna be a nice addition to use for my equipment and I'm hoping they last as long as I am expecting at that price point.....I also tried the N pad and it just checked up too early and was too much surface for me at least on that condition.

I too used the T pad on an older original Black Break and wow did it make it kick like never before.  So I don't think you are seeing anything different than what I experienced.

Have u been experiencing a "break in" period with the stuff that comes oob with a neat finish and the ones u have used the pads on?

tdub, I have not used the NEAT pads yet, but sometimes I have been victim of the so called "break in period" on some balls that I changed the surface with abralon pads.  Recently resurfaced my Grip, and it seemed to have more length than usual.  after a game, it opened up back to how it was.  Was kinda weird.  Happened to the OMG also, took longer than a game though to get the strong motion back.
 
I'm gonna buy some NEAT pads cause I like the surface they create.  Plus, my Train is starting to get that lane shine.  Need to put it back to normal.

That was my very first impression when using the NEAT pads. The difference is subtle, but noticable. So far I've finished off mostly with the "E" pad (1500 grit) since that surface, overall, matches up best to my THS. This last weekend I re-worked a few more balls, finishing one with the "A" pad (2500 grit) and another with the "T" pad (4000 grit). I'm going to give them a try tonight.
