How does the Black Eagle compare to the look and black mamba? Which of the three do you like more?
-
The Balck Eagle is going to be the strongest with a lower RG, higher diff, and lower grit finish (E pad). The Black Mamba is going to be 2nd with a slight lower diff, higher RG, and higher grit finish (A pad), and the look is going to be 3rd with the highest rg, and higher grit finish (T pad).
So it would go:
Heavy-Black Eagle
Med-Heavy- Black Mamba
Med- The Look
All are great balls if used on the proper conditions.
-
Black eagle is T pad, not E.
-
My apologies, ill double check myself before posting next time. Thought i read E pad. Either way, still in that order.
-
Agreed. Black eagle is the strongest. Black Mamba is smoother oob, and the look will be the weakest, even with a stronger cover than the eagle.
-
Is the black eagle stronger than the mamba and look, given that the look uses the S75 cover (mamba F74) versus the S70 for the black eagle?
I have only thrown the look, so have nothing to compare against... just wondering?

Yes Strap, bigger, stronger core. As proven with Brittons video ball review of the Freight Train. They used the Black Eagle as a more angular Heavy oil option. The Black Mamba is almost in the same league as the look, higher RG Medium high diff. Where they also separate is the inter. diff. The Black Eagle has a. 024 inter. diff., while the look has I believe an .018. They dont list the inter diff on the Black Mamba.

My Nuts Pearl vs my Break (Black Eagle), my Break was much more ball. The higher RG of the Nuts/Look weightblock really causes more lope that you think. The RG for the Break weightblock is 2.48 with .055 diff. Even pin down, my Break could cover almost anything. It couldn't make the corner if I was going like 20 to 5, but if I played my angles a little straighter, it wouldn't stop.
I would drill the Look and Eagle the same, and let the design separate them.
As for the Black Mamba, the move looked very much like a Train. I was hoping for more, considering it was using the OMG Pearl core, but it's very much a controlled move.
