WHAT??
The Black OPS already skid/flips like a Banshee on Cuban coffee.
Do you really NEED (not "want") a BO Pearl???

I was thinking exactly that Jeff. I don't throw it, but have seen it used quite a bit. It's already a monster off the friction.

Every one I have seen (and there are quite few) has been "Left turn now, Clyde"!

Just picked mine up, pin down, hit it with a 4000 pad to remove the shine and shot a 689 (213,246,230) with it. I would not call it skid/flip, but I agree it makes a very strong move off the spot. The Break core with the S70 cover is always a winner. Looking forward to some honor scores with it.
-
Yeah... Mine is stupid off the dry too. Only ball that comes off the spot harder for me is the Dream.
-
My Black Ops is pretty skid/flippy, but the big core allows the ball to really read the pattern the right way. I drilled 4 of them because I liked them so much. I do have one drilled with pin below the middle finger and a hole on the side that really makes it much smoother reaction. I find this ball is extremely versatile. A Black Ops pearl can be something in the future, but I don't see it coming until maybe June of next year, if at all. Dream Big Pearl is going to be a crazy seller and could be a great compliment to the Black Ops.
-
Keep in mind the op is a lefty. I'm guessing the reason he wants a pearl is more length…….. That would put the ball at hitting the pins before breaking. Nobody needs that
-
The original Break came with surface OOB. So a Break Pearl, polished, was a perfect compliment to the Break. Now, the Black Ops comes with polish. So, a Pearl version would be cleaner and more angular than the BOps. Which isn't truly needed. I think a skid/flip layout on a BOps would do the trick instead of producing another ball.
-
Just a heads up, the Dream Big Pearl is a cleaner through the front for me than my Black Ops and definitely flips harder. I would say it covers more boards than the Black Ops, but it doesn't read the lane as fast as the Black Ops. If you are looking for the Black Ops Pearl, try out the Dream Big Pearl. I think you will get the reaction you are looking for.

I took polish off mine and it smoothed out quite a bit, I have a Red legend Pearl and dont care for it, so Im buying another Black ops and leaving it polished, I will not be able to control anything more than what the Black ops is polished....lol

Actually I'd be curious if anyone has insight as to how the Black Ops compares to the original Black Widow Legend. I have the legend and the more I use it, the more I like it. If they are too close, I don't have a real need.

For me, the Black Ops is stronger and more angle. When I had the Legend, it was smooth and not as much ball. Definitely feel the Black Ops continues way better.

I have a Black Ops being delivered today. From everything I have both seen and read about this ball, can't wait to throw it this week. I am already in love with the Dream.

Spoiler alert!

why not make a Break down pearl then while there at it and release it with the black ops pearl? <wink> <wink>

I know this thread was about wanting a Black Ops Pearl, but the Dream Big Pearl can easily fill that void. The ball motion is definitely cleaner. No doubt it is going to be a winner. When we first came out with the Dream, I was shocked at just how much that ball was skid flip. Well I think the Dream Big Pearl does it even better. I feel it gets through the carry down much better and still corners when there is oil down lane. Definitely try this one out if you are wanting a Black Ops Pearl.
-
I really want to try a Dream Big Pearl.
-
Doom you wont be disappointed Great choice to want :) Love the Dream Big Pearl
-
I understand the whole pearl thing and from what i have seen in the past most pearls act alike I'm a lefty and see a fair amount of oil and can stay with Blk Opps all 3 games. This ball has it's own motion and it's a great one not sure what you will be gaining with a pearl other than just another pearl
-
As a lefty, maybe you aren't seeing much transition or say bowl in many different houses. As a righty, I see many benefits from having the Dream Big Pearl compliment the Black Ops. A lot of times on the right side, the fronts go away fairly quick. When this happens, sometimes my Black Ops may read that too quick and lose some energy. The Dream Big Pearl allows the ball to get through that spot better and create more angle down lane when needed as the fronts go away. From my experience all pearls do not act alike. Throw the Dream Big Pearl against the All Night, and you will see a huge difference. The Dream Big Pearl and Respect Pearl are nothing alike as well. You definitely will see different reactions out of our entire lineup.

I have been throwing 900 global stuff since the release of the the original break and break pearl. had them both Rico drilled and they were by far my favorite balls of all time. I have owned all the breaks but the pearl was my favorite. threwbthe death out of all three I owned. I dropped the ball when the eagle pearl came out. never got one. now I waiting for a black ops pearl. yes I know how angular the black ops is cause I have had the break solid polished but it is still a solids I have a lot of heavy roll up front so I chew the heads up pretty fast . That is why I love pearls they don't chew the heads up and retain energy.
