Title: Break Pearl Price-point
Post by: Bowlin for Beer on June 17, 2008, 06:17:56 AM
What should I expect to pay for this ball as compared to other companies' top-of-the-line balls ?  I've read some reviews that said 900 Global is cheaper than other companies.

Thanks in advance.

from a pro shop stand point the ball price incrreased about $5.00 I'm sure most was due to higher production costs and shipping increases. What your pro shop sells them for would be another question.

Thanks Steve.

I'm trying to find a range of prices, just to get an idea of approximately how much I'm going to need to spend.

If you wouldn't mind, what percent difference do they retail for out of your shop ?

Thanks again.

The shop here has a Break for $199 plus inserts.  Ebonite-made high-end equipment here is $220-230.  I think the Morich stuff is as well.

Break pearls are going for about $199.  About $10-$20 lower then other top models.

My shop was selling the Break Pearls for $210 drilled.  I stopped by a couple of days ago and they have them on special for $180 drilled.  I would guess that they are making room for the new Break S75?!!!

If I had to pay 220 for a ball in a proshop I would only buy on-line. I have never paid over  180 for a ball and I have bought a lot high-end performance. That was before I was on my proshops owners "home team discount" as he calls it. And it not a you get what you pay for situation. I don't think a proshop thatcharges that much could get by around here.

To a Pro Shop, $135.00 + S/H. Then to the customer $220.00 drilled with grips! If your shop is selling this ball for $180.00, then either that shop buys a mass quantity of 900 Global or he/she just needs to move these ball's to make room for the next season's equipment!
