I am new to 900 Global equipment, Totally impressed with the bank pearl. Its excellent!

I am looking for advice on building an 4 ball arsenal all 900 Global.

I have just purchased a new Hammer Red Backlash for light oil/Spares which is very good and I will not replace. Obviously I have a Bank Pearl, so I need to hear what else to add to the mix.

If your not against throwing AMF (also made by 900 Global) as well I would say.....

Bank or Eagle (or both if speed dominant)

Bank Pearl

Shred-It (I've heard nothing but great things about this hybrid.......)

My Bank Pearl slides too much on the real heavy stuff to use, its a great transition ball and great on true medium to med heavy conditions

The new Eagle is the same ball as the Break Out and for me is a must in the 900 arsenal. I didn't like my Profit at first but if is finally coming to life, but with the Bank Pearl in our arsenal can't see it as a must have. The Favorite is very smooth and a notch down from the Break Out with a similar roll and might be one to consider.

Roll with 900 Global.

i definitely agree about the Bank Pearl not handling heavy oil (especially with the layout you have). Maybe at 500 double thumb or with someone who is rev dominant it might be......My thinking is the Eagle should handle most any heavier oil you would run into, unless you run into extreme heavy especially with surface. If you do then double thumbing a Bank would be my suggestion. (I wish thats what I would have done to my Bank). Then the Shred-It should give you something similar in strength to the Bank Pearl just different shape. And the Favorite should fit perfect between the Backlash and Bank Pearl/Shred-It...

Im thinking my first purchase will be an Eagle...maybe 50x4x50.....see what that does

I would support using your favorite drill on your first Break Out/Eagle. I have my Break Out drilled pin down at 4 1/2" from PAP with the MB on the VAL. That happens to be my favorite drill and was perfect for me on this ball. I am going to drill two of the Eagles. One to replace my Break Out and one pin up with the pin over the bridge and MB again out near the VAL. These will be the first two out of the bag at nationals this June.

Another great ball that you can still pick up on Ebay is the Break Point Pearl. Talk about a monster skid flip with excellent carry. I had one crack and just picked up a new one from ebay. Same great ball and reaction as the first. These balls did have a tendency to crack due to the volatility of the shell which is one reason for the great reaction off the dry. Have a buddy that has drilled four of these and has another saved back if his current cracks or wears out.

Roll with 900 Global.

This stats are what my proshop figured, axis between 50-60, but I dont know tilt.

He told me i should stay with drilling sums around 100, he has been drilling my stuff for 2 years and I have been real happy with him. He also told me I need help getting the ball down lane, so he wouldnt go under 50-55 as a drilling angle. I am still learning about drilling and layouts, been bowling 25 yrs and always trusted my proshop until 3-4 yrs ago. I had a new guy drill me some stuff(3 Balls) that just didnt work for me. I went to my current guy, and he disagreed with how everything i had was drilled and changed everything. I have been happy with ball reactions since. The only thing I do notice is I leave a lot of 8 and 9 pins now that I never left before.
