Comparisons

Since many of those who are throwing 900 Global threw Dyno-Thane before the buyout, I'm curious as to how the current 900 and AMF line up compare to the Dyno before?  Would the current line up fill gaps in the other, replace some of the line, etc?  Strayed from Dyno and 900 due to having a good deal with Lane Masters through our collegiate program and am wanting to try out some of the 900 line as soon as I sell my Terminator and Sting.

Well I've never thrown any Dynothane of the past, but I did rep for C300 before the purchase from Ebonite.  I can tell this if the old C300 balls rolled as good as the G900 and AMF balls, that purchase might not have happened.  Drill some up you will be very happy with the performance.  Good luck....

The new 900 Global equipment retains the same B.A.S.F. coverstocks used with the previous Columbia equipment. Also, the core and coverstock designers for Columbia are now working for 900 Global. Combined the designers have 21 years of experience. Basically, nothing has changed except the name. All of the same equipment used to make Columbia/Track is now making 900 Global. I think all who used Columbia and Track equipment will find the 900 Global equipment to meet or exceed the previous C300 & Track equipment. Hope this helps you in your decision in purchasing from 900 Global.

Only ball that I bought while being made at the columbia plant was my Vendetta 44 Magnum which I love.  That's the one ball I did not take out of my bag the entire season and have used throughout my PBA Experience league.  I just want to know how these compare to some of the other balls.  Say the Black Vendetta, Threshold, Elements, Things, etc.

You are correct but it's still way different.

My hope is that they don't crack as much or as soon as the Track or Columbia stuff did.

IMHO, 900G covers are some of the most durable in the biz...no complaints here...great equipment, great well-rounded arsenal already (especially when you factor in the AMF stuff)...The Break and Break Pearl are two of my favorite balls ever...

Pack based on a very good local who has used both exclusively and having thrown a bit of dyno. Him and I both believe the new Break series is harder off the spot than his Element and Black Vendetta. His best comparison of reaction was the threshold NGS which he thought had a bit more POP on the end than previous dyno releases. I think with the Break you can cover it down and achieve a lot different reactions to open up versatility. I could see mixing in a Black Vendetta and maybe in your case a 44 mag to give a different reaction. If I remember correctly Phil posted not to long ago another Vendetta type core release somewhat soon but that could have just been daydreaming on my part.

Thanks for the help everyone.  I bowl pretty much only on pba and sport patterns now so I need something to combat those 39-45 foot patters I see.  I have decent revs but I'm thinking maybe the break may be enough for when I can't get anything to turn.  Very rarely had lanes dry out to need anything less than my 44.  Thinking Break and maybe a Code right now.  Now, just to sell those 2 Lane Masters I have. haha
