Just a quick post to let you guys know how happy one of my custoemrs is with his new Creature.

He has been bowling with a Wild for quite a few years and decided he wanted a new ball but not one that would hook in his backswing.

I set him up with a Creature I had here in stock and laid it out with Mo's Dual Angle system. Pin to PAP ended up a 4" and the PAP-Pin-CG angle was 50*. The ball did require a small weighthole (3/4" x 1-1/2") that I placed in PAP with a 1" away pitch.

This ball clears the heads with ease, provides a solid read in the midlane and a strong but not overwhelming backend.

He is a medium speed and medium revs bowler with a lot of tilt and rotation (4-1/2" right, 1/2" up PAP specs). He has been averaging about 175-185 recently. He took the Creature out to the lanes he just got done bowling on (mixed doubles tourney) and proceded to shoot 235 out of the boxed backed up with a 195 and a 221.

In short this is a great ball. I cannot wait until mine gets here now!!!!!

I have that same layout on an Awesome Finish and it's the best ball in my bag right now. Great control drilling for me. I can easily see it working on the Creature.

While I like the ball so far, its highly polished (2000 grit) cover doesn't seem able to handle much carrydown at all. I "softened" the cover slightly: re-sand and lighter dose of polish; now it handles carrydown better, but still hooks a good deal. I was worried about the cover and put a very strong (for me)drill on it: 4" pin-PAP, 3.4" CG-PAP, pin  under the ring finger.

Just took it down to 4000 grit matte to see if it might be good for Nationals.

Only bad review that I've heard that kept me from drilling it was my good buddy with high speed and revs, like me, said that the ball liked to drift past its break point on carry down and wouldn't come back while carrydown was present.

and that's not so much a "bad review", as much as it is his not using enough surface when he knows he has a lot of ball speed.
