Train and it's Combustion Core

After reading the literature on the weightblock, and seeing the testers at videoballreviews and bowling.com, I am seeing a trend with certain layouts. The pin down drillings really seem to be very controllable on the backend, and the pin up drillings REALLY change direction much quicker than the pin downs.
 
Now, are the protrusions the reason for this? Or am I just seeing things? I'm just trying to figure out how I want to lay it out.

Ive drilled one so far and Im not sure of the exact lay out, but it ended up pin up and it rolls almost exactly like the AMF sideways

Funny thing about the Sideways was that it never looked like it went sideways. Kinda rolly ball for such a name. I think I am going to go 60x4.5x40 with it and see how it fairs. Thanks for your help with the comparision!

imho, the videos showed a much rollier, med. strong ball.  Not the monster that sits in my bag.  I drilled mine pin up, 5" from pap, and although it's not "sideways" like my Sideways was, it is still an overly aggressive ball.  The Train is every bit what it's intended to be, and it was what I wanted, a heavy oiler.  I kick myself in the butt for getting rid of the Requiem, so I had to replace it.

Overly aggressive. That statement both makes me sad and happy at the same time. I think I am going to go pin up, and keep my Aftermath at 1000 for floods.
