Maybe a polished Maniac, as it's sanded to 1000 grit Abralon and the Thing was polished? Otherwise, I agree.

If it’s a ‘control’ piece then maybe I won’t drill it just yet. My polished-reactive Track RevMaster is my middle-of-the-road, not-a-big-hooker ‘control’ piece. Even though I like my RevMaster, I don’t think it has left my house more than five times in the past 15 months, simply because my other balls in my rotation are so good.
‘Thing’ is peculiar. I bought it because my old driller (D/T staff) and my old team-mate loved it, but my current driller (Hammer staff) doesn’t rate it.

No-no...I said ....UTILIZE as a control ball, meaning,...drill it as such. You can make your Thing go LEFT like that, ...it was just a suggestion...
