Ok guys as a new convert to 900 global I need a bit of help from the global guys im loving my new stuff and avg is up alot sence the switch but I need a ball for a house that I sub in its old and I meen old wood lanes right now the only two balls I can throw in that house are a very long pin super high polished 300c or my taboo spare would like to get away from all ebo int so what in the global amf line will fill this spot. Thanks guys my stats are 17 mph 480 revs right hander pap 4 over 1/8th up 13Â° tilt.

What are the two 900 balls you currently have? What are the drills on them? There are several pieces you can use on old wood. But it will be a combination of ball and drill.

Closest thing to the 300C would be a Hook, currently. The Link series is great on the burn as well. Too bad they're not being made anymore.

Nothing in the AMF line is going to be as weak. Cobra is low diff, but the cover is very strong (F74), so if you're standing in the dirt, that might be a problem.

So I would go with a Hook, and I would drill it weak. The solid will be smoother as well.

Thanks guys and to answer hoselrockets I have 3 right now I have 2 trains one is pin up over ring and a e pad then very high polished and the other is pin down at 1000 then I have a look rico drilled at box. I can't use any of then in that old wood house lol.

I would say an AMF Cobra SE with polish on it. I have two of these balls and they are absolutely awesome on dry lanes, especially with polish on them. The F74 coverstock is indeed a strong cover, but the ultra low differential core makes a HUGE difference in the reaction of this ball. With the right layout(and polish), it will give you that long, smooth reaction you're looking for.

if you do not have one i would say try a sure thing .. with a short pin ... it will smooth out down the lane for you but it will get down the lane for you also .. you might need a touch of polish .. to me this ball acts similar to the 300t with a rev rate that high it should be a good look especially if your trying to control the backend movement ad keep it in play

If you're using plastic with a core, the fronts or mids must be on fire. Going with the stronger cover is going to cause the ball to puke by 40 feet. The weaker the cover, the better.

what about getting some of the other brands that 900G pours...thats still supporting the brand.. Id be looking at a seismic blackout or euphoria....maybe some radical? tekneek has some competitive pricing! dont forget jet (theyre poured by 900G right?) as long as 900G makes em you are still supporting the umbrella IMO.

I fell in love with AZO poured by storm...which was basically old stuff and sometimes stuff they were testing....and some of my best scores and averages were with them. the AZO area checks core is in the vivid and now lucid...so checking out those other brands may have hidden gems waiting for ya..hehe i knew the vivid was going to be a hit the day info was released..

That would certainly happen with the Sure Thing, but i think that's more because of the core/cover combination than it is just because of the cover. With a weak layout and polish, the Cobra SE is just as clean through the fronts as any other ball with a weaker cover and that's largely due to the core.

Thanks guys I will have to take a look at the cobra and the hook. One more thing doom if I could find one of the links would it be better than the hook or cobra?

IMO, the Link with the S30 would get you through the fronts much better.

Agreed, my Link has gotten me out of trouble more times than I would like to admit. I've been keeping my eye out for a Missing Link on Ebay.

I think a wisdom would suit you well. It was designed for those types of conditions and will allow the ball to push through the heads without getting too flippy on the back.
