Anyone with experience throwing Global 900,

I actually sent this email to Global as well, just thought I would post it here as well. I have a few questions. I am looking to change my arsenal to a single company. I currenty carry a 5 ball arsenal with me. I have seen only one person here throwing your equipment, but I want to give it a try. Do you have any suggestions? I have been thinking of the following:

Heavy=Bounty or S-75 or Break Point
Medium-Medium Heavy=Break Point or Maniac
Medium Light-Medium=Break Pearl or Either Creature
Dry-Medium Light=Creature Pearl or Link Black/Red

I am leaning towards the Bounty, Maniac, Break Pearl, Creature, and Link.

My question is, would these compliment each other? Would you have any suggested drillings, and possible surface prep suggestions?

I am right handed, PAP is 5 3/8 over and 1/2 up. My RPMs are 350. I prefer playing the track or slightly inside of it. I have no problems playing up 5-7 board. My speed is 18 on a Qubica. Most of the patterns that I see are THS at roughly a 42 ft length, and vary on the amount of oil (thus the different equipment). I bowl league and multiple scratch tournaments in my area, which includes Kegel patterns. I guess what I am saying is HELP. I don't know where to start with your line, and since I really liked DT in the past and want to use your equipment, I could use some assistance.

the break pearl is going to be much stronger then a medium to light oil shot imho, Mine is much stronger then either my maniac and close to my s75.

what i have set up right now is
bounty
s75
break pearl
maniac
creature pearl
and globe spare ball

my pap is 4 1.2 over and 1/2 down but my rpms and speed are close to urs

Thanks Stormer,

Is there enough separation between the Bounty and the S-75 to warrant both? Or is it simply that they give you completely different looks? I was curious about the BP. The reason I placed it in the Med-Light came from the reviews that I read. I appreciate your input.

for me theres not that much seperation between the two but they give me a different look but my bounty i have fairly controlled drill and onliy a inch pin and my s75 i got a 5 inch pin and way high. so gives me a different look but if they were drilled similar then i might not see that much and im just not sure.

The break pearls i have seen are strong and i know mine is but it was an experimental drilling that worked out well for me. I bought it as a 2nd labels had wrong color and cg was 3 inchs left of the pin mb line had a 4 1/2 inch pin. I put pin and mb on val with cg near center of grip and with low top weight didnt need a xhole but for me on fresh shot at our local starte tournament i had room and was getting lot of movement was hooking more then my maniac or nkryption code i had with me by more then 10 boards. even though its a pearl it still has an s70 coverstock same as break solid just clears the heads easier and lil sharper off the point. i would prob suggest

bounty
breakpoint maybe maniac with right drill
creature or creature pearl as my pearl i liked a lot more then my original one
then a link drilled for controled backend

Hi Dennis, I'd like to chime in regarding the Bounty and S75 comparison. When drilled identical, the Bounty hooks more and earlier providing a completely different look. However for me, it did not warrant keeping both.

I've rolled a few of the balls on your list but some I have not.

IMHO, a nice 5 ball arsenal would be something like this. While I have not rolled the Creature line, the reviews I hear are very good...

Break Point
Break Pearl
Creature Pearl
Link (drilled 4 control back)

I'll leave the drilling recommendations up to the 'drillers'...I pay someone to do mine.

Here is the arsenal I would put together if I were you:

Break S75 for Heavy
Break Point for Med-Heavy
Creaure Pearl for Med-Light
Link for light.

If you want to throw in another Med oil ball drilled differently for a different kind of pattern I would suggest a AMF Villian. Great ball and is very underated.

If you go with Bounty, Maniac, Break Pearl, Creature, Link you are going to have way to much on the heavy side. The Bounty is also a very pattern specific ball for me. I believe I have heard it from some others to.

Here is my arsenal and how I line mine up in case you are intersted:
Mega Friction
S75
Bounty
AMF Radar Alert
Break Solid
Break Pearl
AMF Code
AMF Villian
Creature Pearl
Boogie Ball

I lack a little in dry lane by not having a Link but I can usually use my Creature Pearl as around here I never see anything I would need below a Creature Pearl.

How about having 2 balls for each condition ...

Heavier-Bounty and an S75 (one more rolly - one more angular)
Mediums-Break Point and Maniac (one more rolly - one more angular)
Medium to lighter-Creature and a Link

Have all balls drilled differently for totally different looks on similar oil volumes. Because we all know, ...just because you're on your typical league THS ...doens't mean it'll read the same every week...

Sure you're spending a little more, but you'll have a LOT more options for 'looks on the lane'....

Just another way to look at it....

this is how I like to do it.

my tournament bag is as follows....

Requiem....2000 Abralon (heavy ball)
Rogue Cell....4000 Abralon (heavy w/more legnth than Requiem)
S75....1000 abralon (med/heavy arc)
Bounty...2000 w/Snake Oil (med/heavy Angular)
N'code....Resurrection (med arc)
Solaris Pearl...2000 w/Snake oil (med angular)
Sure Fire.....2000 Abralon (light/med smooth arc)
Creature Pearl...2000 w/Snake oil (lt/med angular)
Plastic....(dry & spares)

Thats the jist of it. I tend to bring a few others, pin axis, rico drilling and
UpRising w/double thumb, just because you never know

Some think its a little overkill, but its not for league, its for when
the money does the talking! It it hasnt let me down yet. And I would rather
have them with me and not need it, than need it and not have it.

The Rogue and Requiem I just added a few weeks ago, so I have yet to cash
with them. The others have already paid for themselves in the few tournaments
I've entered.

For league, I bring just the Requiem, Bounty, N'code, Creature Pearl & plastic.
With me using lately the Requiem, just because I'm deeper than others and
and all the mess they cause on the right side.

But, with what you listed sounds good. I would add in the S75, just cause its
that good and versatile with cover changes. From what I've heard, the Maniac
is a nice piece. Mine is sitting on the bench waiting to be punched, but I've
been doing well with what I have so I havent found a place for it.

The most hook ont he market according to BTM is the Mega Friction, the other end of the spectrum in our line is the Link
So here goes
Mega Friction
Break point
Maniac
Villian
Creature pearl
Link

Mega is lots of early hook and is solid
Break point is a down the lane ball and is both solid /pearl
Maniac is strong mid lane solid
Villain is medium (rg/diff) solid
Creature is higher rg and less diff pearl
Link is high rg low diff and pearl
6 balls and covers all the bases

My line up is set up similar to how Jeffrevs suggested.

For roll and arc I have: Bounty, Heist at 2000ab, Code, Awakening.

For length and turn I have: Break, N Code, Break pearl, DT 357 Magnum, and Link.

The balls you choose will depend on what you want them to do. If you need roll something like Bounty, Maniac, Creature, and Link may work...or if you want something with more pop go with the S75, Break pearl, (Heist pearl or Villain pearl) Creature pearl, and Link.

S75..(silly strong and such hitting power)..
Code..Nice step down and with shine good when S75 starts its burn
Villain...To me tTHE perfect benchmark ball...so smooth and great hit
Creature Pearl...for when my Villain checks up early. Same smooth look which amazes me as it is a pearl.
Columbia Jazz.....hands down best dry lane ball I have ever thrown and have made 20X the purchase price with this piece. Great for long format tourney's or playing the burned up track...

Thinking of adding a Mega....but where the heck would I find that much oil?? My S75 is at 1000 and is plenty for the shark...

That is extremely well put. You summed up the break s-75 for me to a tee. Then the same for my Code as well, whenever my 1000 abralon Break S-75 is to much I can go to my 1000 grit plus polish Code and move a little right and be money. Very similar shapes, and both have crazy stupid carry.

My Break S-75 eats up oil better than anything I have ever thrown and
I have thrown alot of oilers.
