Title: Global balls cracking
Post by: offthesheet on January 02, 2014, 08:25:18 PM
With new balls like war eagle, eagle pearl and protocols have you all had any problems with balls cracking around the fingers ?  I had two original black eagles that I loved but the both cracked.  Lmk your experiences please and how do you like each ball?

I've had major cracking issues with their stuff and AMF.  Radical out of that plant I've had no problems with.  Don't get me started. Lol

I havent had one crack on me yet (knock on wood). And no i am not a staffer. There stuff actually matches up very well with me and thats why i throw their product.I dont use finger inserts and i only use slugs on the asymmetric balls. I have the protocol and it is a very nice rolling ball. Hits hard and carries well. Medium oil ball out of the box. But can cover heavier oil with surface adjustments. Dont be afraid to play with the cover, it is very versitale.

Phil AKA Newguy, started 900 Global he then created Radical. Radicals equipment was poured at the 900 Global plant through the ball named 'Torrid'.  I believe the first ball poured by Brunswick was the Torrid Elite. 900 Global poured Radicals Slant series and Times Up series and of course the 'Torrid'.

It doesnt really matter the company i have had balls from all companies crack. I was with 900 for 2 years before i signed with ELITE and i have only had 1 ball crack and it was a original break.

Only stuff I've had crack is stuff that I've plugged. If you use grips, be sure to glue the grips below the cover, and you shouldn't have an issue. Make sure the holes have enough bevel.

Find a new driller.  If they cracking around the fingers it aint a global issue your driller is not sanding holes enough or using way to much or wrong kinda glue i have had tons of 900 global amf seismic lane 1 stuff out of globals plant havent had one crack ever

Have had balls from every company crack except maybe Brunswick, but have only owned less than half dozen of theirs over the years. Ebonite and 900 I have had more than others, but several Columbia from both San Antonio and Kentucky. Think only 1 Storm, but also haven't owned many of theirs recently. Odds are I would have more Ebonite, Columbia and 900 since I have owned a lot more balls from those guys.
