The new trend  on the PBA tour  is players using their  fifteen minutes of practice to set up the shot how they want it by using sanded balls to strip the oil off the lane to the outside of their target area.The key is to breakdown the lane so you have recovery outside of the intended target line.The players have no intention of using this line once scoring starts.The next phase in building your very own wall/house shotis to take their plastic ball to move the oil down the lane on the the inside of the intended target line to create hold, thereby creating  a not so hard sport condition.Once scoring starts,the players use the ball that matches up best to that shot. No rules against this but just how honest are these players being about their own ability.It just seems funny to me what bowlers will do to gain an advantage.It makes me think these bowlers have no confidence in their own skills.
