Just received a NIB After Dark Pearl (the original purple one).

15 lbs 5oz, 3oz Top weight and 2 to 2.5 inch pin.

I throw 330-350 RPM, about 17 MPH I forget my tilt.

I am looking for something to go under a Match Up Hybrid. Since it appears I may be between PSO's, I would like to have an idea of how I should consider drilling it. My advanced Preparation helps me to vet PSO candidates.

I wouldn't over think it too much. It's pretty drill friendly and as with all 900 Global balls, they take to surface changes nicely. Overall ball motion is going to be pretty smooth. I went with a very simple layout in CG in the palm and pin just next to the ring finger (right hander). Overall I can use it when the lanes break down a bit. It will allow you to keep the ball in front of you and not over react downlane. Feel free to use any of your favorite layouts.

Agree. Dont try any funky layouts. Just something you have liked on other mild pearls.

For weaker stuff I just put the pin in a strong position to your pap, for me it's:

5" pin for length
4"all purpose
3" midlane and softer backend

Sometimes you got to watch the low and equipment because it wants to just skate down Lane
