I would assume that with certain layouts it won't make a difference but I would think with others it would.. I would think that it might make the ball smoother and not as flippy.. but this ball isn't flippy anyway though..
I say this cause with alot of old school balls with an added "flip cap" they put this at the not of the core.. so if you put it at the bottom I would think it would take that flip away.. most cores tend to have more mass at the top half of the core...
maybe roll like a negative drilled ball.
