s75 - How much oil can this ball handle?
« on: August 20, 2008, 10:57:02 AM »
Hey BR Family,

Just wondering how much oil this ball could handle. This is supposed to be some kind of soaker coverstock correct?

Thanks in advance!

I hate to speak for someone but absolutebowling (tonx) has said a few times its the strongest ball in his bag, and is his heavy oil ball. Maybe not a ball for floods but with surface it is impressively strong.

Ram,

I took the surface down to 1000 Abralon and had a great look playing up 10 on the Shark in my PBA Experience league.  Layout is pin under ring, MB right of thumb, approximately 4-1/2 x 4.  I'd say it could handle about as much oil as you would want.

Hi gunny,   if you go to 900globals web site, they have a list of pro shops that carry their balls.  Maybe one might be near you.

Buddiesproshop sells them,  but I believe they sell them only at a drilled price.  Last time I checked it was about $189. May be a few bucks higher now.

However that won't help you, since you drill your own balls.

If I was in your area I would sell you one at the undrilled price.  I have seen a few other pro shop's that say they would do the same thing.  But you must actually go there to get the ball.  I don't believe we can sell you one and ship it to you.  Not sure!!!!!  Maybe Eric or Newguy will answer that.  But I think you have to actually be in the shop to buy the ball at an undrilled price.

Good luck Gunny

btw,  Get one, you will love it!!!!!!

It's a beast!!!

Great info!

I've got one waiting for me at the shop..... can't wait to have it drilled!!! Most of my stuff are Big B, the S75 will be my first 900 Global ball!

On another note, how does S75 compare with Cell? I was thinking about picking one up, but worry that they may be too similar. Any thoughts?

I have both the Cell and the S-75, and with surface adjustments, I would say the S-75 is stronger than the Cell.  I used both on the Shark, but there is enough difference to justify having both.

You won't have to worry about the two balls over lapping, S-75 reads the end of the oil really hard and the Cell arcs.
