I am thinking of buying a Link for dry lanes but i see they come in two different colors so my question is are they different and if so in what way.

Same ball, different color.
If intending to use on dry lanes, drill it weak!
I went with a strong layout, and I use it regularly on our fresh THS (buffed to 42ft, medium volume, wet/dry wall).

Even with drilling it weak, the ball is a lot stronger.  At least mine is stronger.  Very good ball.  If you have speed and a lot of revs, it will for sure be what you are looking for.

I agree with the posters:  At first before the cover breaks in it might seem weak and won't carry but once the track is worn look out this ball is quite strong.

When compared to my Neptune with the same layout it is about three to four boards stronger but doesn't give me the same over under reaction.

I will agree with the above post's on strenght of the ball. Mine is drilled 4 1/4 by 4 3/4CG pin inline with ring at 4000 abralon. I can easily use this ball on a typical house shot with out the polish. When polished the ball is stronger than what I wanted but still very good for dried up lanes.
