Title: Link
Post by: tdub36tjt on June 09, 2009, 02:13:00 PM
After having the ball for a while now I just wanted to come on here and give it some props. I have found it to be a great house shot ball and it bailed me out on the Viper tonight. I didn't bowl great but found something with it after struggling early with not getting the ball through the heads. Went 159 first game with a Perfect Rival and finished with a 193,186,189 with the Link. It is surprisingly strong and yet isn't too flippy like most light oil balls. I found it to be a great medium oil piece that each time I use it I like it more than the last. After having a Tropical and a Jazz I have to say this is the best of the 3.

I love 'em...every serious bowler should have at least one control ball in their bag,..plus the red/black really looks great.

How should I drill one of this for toasted lanes? Med revs-speed-track and I like to play standing from 15 to 20 (left of that I can't control my angles). Thanks.

The Link is one of the most versatile balls I've used.  I drilled mine 5 x 3-1/2" with a 4-1/2" pin buffer.  This placed the pin under the bridge, and the weight hole is located in the P2 location.  Ball was very skid/flip like in the OOB condition, so I hit it with a white Scotchbrite pad on the spinner with water.  Ball rolls early and is very controllable.  I can use it on fresh, or on drier conditions.  I used it in my last game of singles at Nationals and shot 229 clean.  I wish I had used it for all 3 games of singles.

carlito,...without seeing your profile, I'd say check with your proshop,..
I prefer mine with the pins under the bridge and the Mb just outside the thumb hole, with no X holes,..but that's just me...jim
