Had a conversation with a teammate on Wednesday about selling my Link. I NEVER take it anymore because once I got it (almost a year ago), the house started putting out more volume. My Awakening was all I needed.
Well....last night the Awakening was too much ball. Resorting to suitcasing it up 10, and then I had no carry. Grabbed the Link in the 10th and found the pocket.....and carry too. Salvaged a 171. Shot 201 the 2nd game due to some poor spare shooting. Shot 237 in the 3rd game......missed 10 pin in the middle.
For some reason, I started carrying it last week.....and I'm glad I did. Guess what ball WILL NOT be in the for sale pages today.

Most underated dry lane balls out there.

The Link is an underrated ball.If you can throw with any revs. it will save you on a dry shot.
The Link is what made me switch to all 900 Global balls.
I now use a Breakout and a Lunatic.
The Lunatic is a great bench mark ball for me.

I have thought about getting a link to when the lanes are pretty dry. I have a storm too hot and a storm flame solid urethane that are too much ball sometimes and have thought about putting a 5 3/4 pin up by 5 on it to be smooth on the back end.

LOL @ Polaris...I bet that Link is in your bag for tonight!
My Link was never very consistent for me. It was somewhat dare I say...over/under. I don''t have near the hand of Polaris, but even when I did hit the pocket...my Link left many corners.
However, the volume as of late has done a 180 and balls I had on the selling block now may be the ticket to score. I am taking my Link tonight though I did hit it with a very work 4k pad to know some of the high shine away. My theory is this will tame down the back end just a hair and allow me to play a straighter line. If not, I am taking my Hornet...just in case.
I have only seen two Link''s in action...polaris and mine. I can say being he has a good bit of hand, the ball is a very good fit in his arsenal. I am still searching for that ever elusive ''drier'' lane ball. I really wanted my Villain to fill this spot but it''s too aggressive even polished to a mirror. Hopefully between my Link and Hornet, I can find the answer.

It will be in the bag, and we'll probably have a flood! Position round tonight, and I have no clue who we bowl. I'm sure it's someone at the bottom after the last 2 weeks of having our *** handed to us.
