serial number ?
« on: March 26, 2008, 08:33:43 AM »
I noticed the serial number system on my Break is very different than the Creature. The serial number on my Break is actually very similar to my Roto Grip SD-73 Classic. Who poured the Break and Creature for 900G?

Didn't they move into a company's old factory, I think Big B?  So they pour the covers themselves?

Im pretty sure 900G pours all of their own stuff. Maybe they decided to change the way the serial #s ran. Kinda weird though.

Absolute is correct the 1st batch was poured by Storm to have them ready for bowl expo last year, since then all 900G stuff has been poured in Ssan Antonio.

If your break has a yellow pin than it was the first batch that was poured out of the Storm plant.  They had them pour those because they were not set up completely at San Antonio.  If your Break has a gold pin than it was poured at San Antonio by 900 Global.  They yellow pin Break was the only ball poured by Storm.  There is no difference between the reactions on the Breaks.  I have had 2 of the yellow pins and 2 of the Gold pins.  Both are great pieces.

I really was not concerned about a difference in reaction (because I love mine), but I just found the numbering to be curious. It seemed like a dead giveaway, but I was sure someone could confirm it. Thanks!
