Same core shape but the numbers are different
Break out is RG 2.539 Diff .049 Mid Diff .020
Break, S75, Break Pearl are all RG 2.489 Diff .058 Mid Diff .024
-
if you compare them side by side, the original break and this break out seem to be the same ball, just different colors.. "HEY ERIC", how about an update from the source..lol.. slashrr69

i might have to get one of these. i never had a break and i believe it was comparable to a widow and i never had one of those either.
could be my chance to try one as well as a first 900 global ball for me

Maybe its a hybrid? Hopefully Eric or Phil will pop in here and fill us in...

this is weird. It is the same ball spec wise as original Break. Maybe there is a typo, Eric get on here and feed us some news.
I will say, I have the original Break and for me it is a very good ball for medium heavy conditions. <ine with the pin at 4 3/4 from PAP flares every bit of 6 inches each being abotu 7/16 seperated. I need polish to use it any where from medium to med heavy. Sanded it can play in some oil quite nicely.
Very versatile, but i don't know about coming out with the same ball so soon, give us something different. Throw a particle pearl in the mix.

What is sandbagging???
-
well after reading carefully it says specifically
"original s70 coverstock"
so yes that would indicate the very same coverstock that was on the break

Interesting, as mentioned according to the website cover and core are the exact same as the original break solid.

As a guy throwing 900 Global exclusively, I could not be happier with this newest release! I use my original Break far more often than the guys at Global would like me to, now this gives me another option!

Why complain, its a chance to get the original Break again.
-
yay!!
-
One question....WHEN??????
-
agree i loved my original breaks...but all 3 cracked...the same way...cracked to the pin then all the way around...sooooo hopefully this wont happen to this one

My bad was looking at different weights!!!! Thats what happens when you work nights and only get a few hours sleep! LOL
-
Im sure its an error but when crazy 8 link it shows the ball having a Bounty Hunter Core. Either way I really want to try 900 Global and get away from Roto Grip

Did you have the original Breaks from the first batch poured by Storm, many of them cracked?

Magic8 and the website show two different coress. I would bet it is the core on the website. That core looks similar to the first break series cores.

-
It is indeed an error on the magic8. The website is correct, as always here lately the ball looks good in person. Have not seen it go down the lane yet, but I am sure here in SA that will happen soon enough.

depends on what the market demands, some may need a lower rg core ball, everything AMF/Global has out new has higher rg cores. I have several customers wanting the 2.50 and lower core rg balls. They are tough to find at the moment.

But, isn't the industry going towards higher RG
values and Stronger covers (RA values)?
It seems the last few release for 900G, they
are starting to contradict themselves. In the
Demo vido, Dave Smart said having the core reving
up early is not always a good thing. That they
were promoting length with the core and hook with
the coverstock.
I guess they are changing direction?

Interesting...
If the core is the Break core it is identical to the International released Prison Break....exact same specs and core..just a different colored coverstock..
Think they are saving the BH core for that series ..
Interesting....

Should have been called The OutBreak instead of Break Out...

couldn't be happier to see this ball, I personally love the original and I'm sure I will like this. I like the new color too!!

Sounds like a solid business decision to me. The Break was 900 Global''s first release and many didn''t try it. It was also a solid black ball which has limited shelf appeal. (I personally love black balls...wait a minute...that didn''t come out quite right.
)
Now that they''re well established, releasing a ball identical to the Break will give them a chance to get a great ball into the hands of those who were nervous about buying a new company''s release.

Nice to see the specs for the 12# and 13# balls. Makes it easier to give advice to new bowlers about what to expect if they buy the ball at their weight. All too often the generic lightweight core has no asymmetry when the ball is advertised as asymmetric with no disclaimer for lighter weights.

yes it is a break remake, but some have theories that color can also change ball reaction, ya or nay?!

Kyle I was told a few years ago, black, blue, and red seemed to add friction based off of chemical make ups of the color with the resins of the veneer, where white, green, yellow, orange had less effect or none. The source came from one of the major ball manufactures. Whether it is true or not is another question, I believe he said black and blue were the major colors showing a difference.

Thanks steve! yeah i was always told that you couldnt really mess up a black ball because they hooked anyway. black had a higher friction quality. wasnt sure if the same went for Blue etc.

I don't know how much it effects balls today. But back in the "old" days it coulsd make a major difference. The purple angle and black u dot were the same ball just different color and the purple angle was much longer. Same story with the red edge and UC2 with the uc2 going several feet longer

This looks like I finally found a BENCHMARK ball,...How sweet it is.
I didn't get on board when the Black Break was new, so I didn't get one.
It seemed like I either had strong pearls or stronger pearls, with a few weaker balls mixed in. But now I think we have just what the doctor ordered as far as a good strong benchmark solid. This ball is smooth, and reads the lane great. This is a ball that I can make small adjustments with, and not have to worry about what it will do. Thanks 900 GUYs, this one will be in my A bag.

Original Break was the ball that got me using 900G products exclusively and its still my favourite piece. Used it last month in Manila to pick up 3 medals at the Asian Zone Seniors Champs (pardon the FIGJAM guys) and I always loved the even continuous motion of the ball. I had always hoped for a re-release so I could retire the old girl. The original Break has a modified Rico drill (speed dominant lefty) and I love the midlane read and continous motion through the backend and pin deck. Carries a ton.
All my Christmases have come at once.
