Man, you guys make some good stuff, don't you? (g)
My previous 900G experience has all been with Lane #1 (plus an AMF Heist) but I decided to try something from the actual 900G line this week. I chose a Break S75 that was classified as an "X-out," I assume because it had a 5.5-inch pin.
I coupled this with an experiment I've been wanting to try -- pin on the VAL 4 inches away from the PAP. That ended up sticking the CG below and left of the middle finger about an inch, with the MB actually in the track at about the grip halfway line. Really weird looking layout and I wasn't sure it was going to work. I then polished the ball up a little with Storm Moon Shine.
Well, after throwing seven in a row in practice, I then threw the front 5 first game tonight on a pretty wicked wet-dry shot we had to deal with, and ended up with 257. By the eighth frame of the second game, the surface on this thing was just too much and I had to bag it.
I had a lot of confidence with this ball and I'm looking forward to testing it some more. And I may have found a new drill pattern to boot.
