Ragland does a comparison of two White Hot Badgers in in his video, one pin down and one pin up. Personally I think the pin up ball looks much better on both patterns he tested on but I guess it depends on what you're looking for.

The No Rules Pearl would compare more to the Space Time Continuum. White Hot would be a step down

I’m not looking for an equal replace it to. I never really had conditions to use the NRP. so I’m looking for similar ball motion but weaker

I hate to ask this. But I don’t know much about angles and my PSO doesn’t seem to either. Every time I go in he just asks if I want it “pin up and kick the cg out.”  What exactly would this look like?

 Not the same guy, but I can answer the question.

 Since each person has their own, individual pap measurement, it will look different for each person who does it. One person might have the pin directly centered over the fingers, but another guy might have the pin above and to the right of the fingers, yet since their pap measurements are different, they are BOTH still 40 by 4, even though they “look” different.

 Find out what your positive axis point (pap) is, then someone will be much more able to fully describe what a “40 by 4” would be like for you.

As much as I love pin down balls, this is where I would use the ball for it's intended condition. Personally, I'd start with a Badger pin down (5*65 for me) and a little surface, then when that starts losing steam, go to a whb 5*40 and step left.

Your pso should have more knowledge on dual angles, and drilling the new equipment, especially with the new usbc rules. Angles are  more important than ever before. But I understand price is a huge factor as well. I’ve seen some pro shops charge over $300 for new high end balls with drilling.   

No ball is higher than $200 out the door. He has an understanding of the new rules but his drilling ideas are more old school. But he’s receptive to what I want and does good work with what I ask. Plus I don’t mind a little research
