Need Help Deciding Which Ball To Get.
« on: December 01, 2010, 02:02:39 PM »
Hi, need help on deciding which 900 global i should get. Im looking for a ball that will fit under my reign and above my natural. Never owned a 900 global ball before so any suggestions are appreciated. Heres a video of me so you can see my ball speed, rev rate, etc... Thanks

Sounds to me like you are looking at the Favorite or Long Shot. They us the same core but the coverstocks are totally different...Long Shot is a pearl resin and the Favorite is a solid resin.

Another option could also be a strong drilled Missing Link...which one depends on if you prefer solids or pearls.

Very nice form by the way....much better than the way I throw the ball :-)

Thats what i was thinking. I have a tropical storm right now but its to over under for me and i can never get a consistent reaction from it. I was thinking getting the solid missing link and drill it kinda week and add a little polish. What do you think about that???

With your style I would think a Missing Link would work well. The solid will give you a better read of the midlane and most likely a smoother transition on the backend.

What kind of layout you choose is going to depend on what you are looking for the ball to do.

Going with a long pin to PAP will hole control the flare and get the ball downlane better.

A shorter pin to PAP will also help control the flare by making the ball start up sooner thus burning some energy and smoothing out the backend.

Your ball driller will be more qualified to help you choose the exact layout to fit the gap in your arsenal.

I would agree with Doug on this one, although I like his first thought on the long shot or Favorite.. I think the longshot with a pin up drilling and cg below would also give you the motion you are looking for and will be above your natural and below your reign.

Nice form btw along with a solid post at the line!

After some thought and watching his video clip I was afraid that the Long SHot would be too close to the Reign. I have not seen any in action but the number made me a little leary....hence my suggestion of the Missing since thats a slam dunk to fit in there.

If you like both balls, then the Missing Links would be good. The Reign has a high RG & medium/high diff and the Natural has a high RG & low diff (but urethane cover) so this would be the only thing that fits. It's a very under-valued ball on the market! Hope this helps!
