Hello all, since the Break S75 is currently the only "soaker" ball on the market which of the old soaker Dynothane balls would you compare it to.

Threshold, strongest ball i have ever thrown. Others will tell you the same.

What is sandbagging???
-
Stronger than The threshold for me, more angle out of the oil and better overall ball by far.
-
with the newer technogoloies in cover stocks I doubt anything in the old D/T
line would be real close. Threshold was a great ball but it can't hang with the S-75

If the S75 is better than my Threshold, I might have to talk with you!

Does "hooks more" make it a better ball?

Steve,
What does "can't hang with the S-75" mean?

I might have over zealous with my remark this is what I should have stated.
IMO the S-75 is stronger, in oil covers more boards than the Theshold. Big difference from this evaluation is the S-75 having a stronger Z diff has more contination and a sharper move off the spot.

OK, I get that picture, Steve. Thanks.
FYI Compare the Threshold's core picture to the new Bounty's core. I know they are different, with the Bounty also having a larger MB effect, but they are certainly closely related by looks (which can be admittedly deceiving).

charlest, my Threshold has a couple of different purposes in my arsenal. First, it's my oiler. It's the ball with the strong cover/surface combination. Secondly, it's a ball, along with several other teammate's assistance, that's used to help blow a hole in a pattern. I'm not a bowler that looks get the latest "hook-in-a-box" ball, pitch it to the ditch and let it hook like a (female dog expletive deleted), and expect it to elevate my game. In fact, nowhere did either Steve or myself, make reference to such a wish for something that "hooks more". The Threshold, in oil, is a ball that I'll utilize. If you think I want a ball that "hooks more", IIRC, you're mistaken.

Besides, with the Soaker additives, it would only add to the overall longevity of the ball. That's why I used the "better" reference. In all honesty, my Threshold has been, and continues to be, a great ball. I'd be shocked if it was EVER removed from my tournament arsenal.

I don't think Jeff was implying that at all John, he was looking for an explaniation from me as to why. They both will serve a purpose, those with higher rev rates might not need a Bounty if they have a Threshold. You could probably see more of a seperation between the two when you can man up and throw a #13. LOL just poking at you John.

Steve's right. I wasn't implying that at all. I've seen a few thousand of your posts/replies (
). I have a definite idea of who and what type of bowler you are.
I was wondering if Steve was implying that (didn't really think so, thus my question to him) and our exchange indicates we know where each other is coming from. No insult intended.

for me, the Threshold and Break S75 werent even close to each other. the threshold, although angular, couldnt cover as many boards as compared to my Break S75. almost identical drill patterns, S75 has a x-hole the Threshold does not. and as a comparison, they both cleared the heads real clean for me and close to the same strong/angular shape to the pocket. only difference is im standing about 8 boards left with the S75. but my findings may be skewed a little bit because of the Brunswick Anvilanes that i bowl on.
