A new release from 900 Global featuring the Reserve Blend 701 Solid cover, Shrapnel 2.0 core, and comes at 4000-grit finish. This ball was designed to be a medium ball but give you that control down lane. After throwing it on house, challenge, and sport patterns it feels that way to me. When it sees the friction, it appears like it is going to jump and go left but it just smooths out and continues through the pins. I also feel that this ball is sensitive to hand position or release. If I came up the back of it, it was a very smooth and continuous motion (front to back) but if I came around it, the reaction would be more side to side off the friction. I did compare with the OG Zen and it is definitely a ball down from it as the Zen read the lane earlier and was quicker off the spot. I also threw in some shots from the DUO since the core numbers are similar but the DUO was a good ball up from the Xponent. I think for higher rev players they will enjoy this ball as it will give them control and is on the medium range for ball strength.

The Xponent will help you POWER UP your game and is going to be an excellent benchmark ball within the 900 Global line! It features the ALL NEW Reserve Blend 701 Cover with the Shrapnel 2.0 Symmetric Core to create an optimal shape on medium conditions. The incredibly predictable Shrapnel 2.0 Symmetric Core, which was previously featured in the Ordnance C4, will rev up quickly and produce an even and continuous shape on the lane which will allow bowlers of all styles to see success on a variety of patterns. The Xponent gave me a good look sliding on 35, looking 21 at the arrows with my breakpoint around 9-10. I was surprised by the overall strength and my ability to continue to move left. With other solid balls, they tended to quit when this far left, but the Xponent had no problem making the corner. I expect the Xponent to work the best on high/medium volume patterns and be the ball I can go to after the Reality. When compared to the Zen Gold Label, I had to move five boards right with my feet and three with my target at the arrows. The Xponent was much earlier and smoother in the backend. The new addition to the 700 series of 900 Global balls is call the Xponent. The Xponent features
a new solid coverstock called Reserve Blend 701 Solid. I'm already a big fan of this cover as most of
the newer solid coverstocks have made it difficult for me to get the ball through the front of the lane
where I bowl. This ball clears the front well and gives good consistant mid-lane motion. They paired
this cover with the Shrapnel 2.0 Symmetric core that was featured in the Ordinance C4. This pairing
has created the best benchmark ball I've thrown to date.

I tested the Xponent on the house shot at my home center. Our house pattern is longer (43 ft) and
higher volume (almost 30ml). The Xponent was great first ball out as it allowed me to play nearer
to the friction, but not over-react on my small misses right. This ball gave me more area than any
other I have thrown here, and really helped my first game average. It's also clean and continuous
enough to stay in play though the transition. Navigating the ball change from game one can be one of
trickiest parts of bowling in this particular center because they start out very cliffed and tend to carry-
down alot as you bowl. The Xponent handles the fronts drying up and the back-ends getting tighter
extremely well.

I see this ball being useful for so many different styles of player because it is useful on so many
different lane conditions. It's a great ball for starting a bit straighter than balls like the Phaze II might
let you, but you don't run into the same problems with carrying while covering boards that the balls
with really early covers give you. As a pro shop guy, this ball also makes a fantastic choice as a first
purchase and a ball you can really build an arsenal around.
