Actually had the chance to meet Haugen Jr. at Junior Gold a few years back, not a PBA star at the same level of Barnes or Duke but definitely a class act. And congrats.
-Change is inevitable, progress is optional.
-Whether you think you can, or think you can't, either way, you're probably right.
-We have here the fundamental problem of ethics, the crux of the theory of moral conduct. What is justice? Shall we seek righteousness, or shall we seek power? Is it better to be good, or to be strong?

Michael Haugen is definitely one of the good guys. Back in 1991 and 1992, I remember meeting Norm Duke when I bowled in the US Open Pro-Am when it was held in Canandaigua, NY (outside of Rochester, NY). The first time, I was there with my dad and got to have some coffee and chat with him for a good 45 minutes since it was prior to the opening blocks in the morning. The second time, I got to bowl with him on the pair I was on. Duke and Haugen are two guys that have a ton of class.

Would that happen to be a new ball from 900 or AMF??
Think it says...
The Nuts?
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I too, had the opportunity to meet Michael back when I bowled some in 03"... He was clearly one of the nicest guys out there. I also met some internation players that was just as equal nice as Haugen, etc. Some of those great names are Javier Parde, Arturo Quintero, and Andres Gomez... Now I know they wont remember me, but I will remember them for the rest of my life. I want to throw a shout out to all you class guys. You may bowling so enjoyable! John

I have had the pleasure of knowing Haugen for years. I bowl with him a lot and he helped coach my college bowling team at ASU. I would say he is just as good as any bowler out there on tour with out a doubt. Seeing how good he is on a consistent basis is mind blowing. Until you see someone play the one board and strike the next shot throw fifth arrow with the same ball and strike on the first try. My point is he is good. Also, he is a great guy.

Michael Haugen Jr is an a$$hole. I unfortunately had the pleasure of crossing pairs with him many years ago at a local tournament. All he did was bitch and wine about how easy the shot was but yet he couldn't even make the finals. He then went online and bad mouthed the organization all while being a part of the PBA. A lot of peopled thought he should of been fined but the PBA didn't do anything about it. Every time that POS is bowling on TV I turn the channel. I have absolutely no respect for that guy.
