The Break
« on: January 21, 2008, 12:04:40 AM »
Picked up a used one for a friend who backed out so I ended up drilling it for myself. Ball is drilled stacked leverage, pin above and right of the ring finger, cg parallel to the center line. Ball is at 2000 with a dose of Bean's SS. I was planning on taking the finish down to use on some tighter conditions I see in tournaments, but thought I would throw it on my league shot to see exactly what it was all about before I did any adjustments to the finish.

Ball is VERY clean through the heads and very acceptable to speed changes and different hand positions. I can go up the back of it for a more controlled finish or jump on it a bit when I want to open up the lane. I have used it on a heavier medium shot, a broken down mess in a recent tournament (fried heads and carrydown) and a close your eyes and send it right shot and had very good results on all of them.

The combination of the strong drill and good coat of polish keeps the ball from really firing on me which I like. The move is strong, but very controllable. The balls hit is strong enough that it doesn't need to go sideways to move the pins around.

I have thrown a lot of different balls over the last few years and the Break definitely has a spot in the bag for a while.

Please send me a message if you have any questions.

The master of the understatement!
This resulted in an 824 yesterday for Krumpy.
(See post in Miscellaneous; can't miss it.)

Thanks Andy, add a couple of dollars to that and we have a deal

It's a very good ball. Props to 900G for a winner.

I just felt i needed to add a comment about this ball.i don't tink there are enough poeple talking about it. My thoughts are that it could easliy be the ball of the year!
I am just destroying pins with this thing. It has become a ball i don't want to put down just keep chasing the shot left.

One major problem is, since they do not sell to online shops, only pro shops carry them. Since the 900Global name is brand new (I know the owner and brand managersa re not new to bowling), most pro shops don't carry it and, therefore, don't display it. That makes it kind of rare and hard to come by. I don't know what the sales figures are, but unless a pro shop driller is throwing one and local people are impressed, the average good league bowler won't even be asking for it. While more and more bowlers go onto the internet to seek bowlign information, the vast majority still do not do that. Thus, they don't even know that the 900Global or the Break exists. Remember we here on ballreviews are in the vast minority.

Until 900Global and its balls get more publicity,in any shape, manner or form, it will remain an "underground" ball company. Look how long it took Lane#1 to become known nation-wide.
