After talking to Ric Hamlin, i went with a slightly modified Rico drill.  Put the pin inch below my ring finger, 5" from pap and mass bias 45 degrees, hole down.  

Our house is older wood lanes, 25+ years, so before I threw a shot, I shined the ball with Bean's sauce right over the 4000 box finish.  

Threw the ball along side my other practice balls, the Red and Vapor Zones, and this ball is way to early for our house.  When I got way inside it finally had enough push to get down the lane, but I wasn't comfortable playing left of 5th arrow on a fresh house shot.  The ball rolled out a few times and hit weak, so I knew it was too much ball.  My Vapor and Red Zones are probably 6-10 boards weaker, and allow me to play much closer to the track.

After seeing I wouldn't be able to use this ball much at home, I took it across town to bowl at a synthetic center that runs a PBA expeirence league got done.  They said the shark pattern was out, so I ran into the pro shop and sanded the ball back to 4000 grit and went on the lanes.

I bowled with a friend of mine, he was throwing a Gamebreaker, me the Break.  The pair was very fresh, only 6 games were put on it.  The shark pattern gave me enough oil to use the break around the 20 board playing to 10-12.  Outside that wouldn't recover.  The Break gave me a smooth, predictable roll and as the shot moved left the ball reaction was very good.  Shot 80 over for 6 games, one of the better looks I've had on the shark.  

Great ball, smooth predictible roll, excellent hitting power.....if you have enough oil.  This ball is very strong.
