Do the ratings for the coverstock strength take into account the coverstock type or just the base? For example the BP is S73 I believe, and so is the Pearl but I'm sure it's not as strong the the solid. I'm wondering if there's a somewhat accurate way to think about how strong the cover really is. What I mean is could we say the pearl is S10 weaker than it says or something like that?
Those who've thrown both BP's and the Lunatic would be the best people to determine how the BP Pearl fits between the other two. And based on that, they can estimate the coverstock rating.
I'm not sure if it's unreasonable to think of it this way, but it would make it a lot easier - for me at least - if there was a set strength we could take away from the pearls to determine how they compare to other balls.
