Title: War Eagle
Post by: iamone78 on January 15, 2013, 10:06:51 PM
Looks like the next installment of the Eagle line is set to come our way! Higher RG and a slightly lower Diff on this one. Should be another stellar ball, you can never go wrong with the Break core. Oh yeah, a new Hook (green/black) solid as well.

That looks sick! Great Job Eric T! You shoot 300 with the Dirty Look and drop a winner.

Can't wait to pick one of these up since I can't get a hold of a new Black Eagle. Wonder how this will fit along side the Dirty Look? I'm sure it'll find a place in my bag.

Not a HUGE fan of the colors on the War Eagle, but I may have a different opinion when I see a real photo and not a computer image.

The new Hook looks really sweet though!

If they are going to call it War Eagle, the colors should be Auburn University colors...

BOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Not an SEC fan in the slightest, but Orange and dark blue might look pretty nice.

They going the Break Point way, now with a lower diff and higher RG?

I'll try anything with the Break core in it. For real.

I saw the War Eagle in action yesterday and I have to say 900G has definitely got something good with this one. Think a meaner Black Eagle and a stronger Beak Point Solid . That's how I would best describe it. Backend was amazing and carry was phenomenal. I wouldn't normally say that about something newly drilled,  but this one is going to be something special. For all of those that weren't able to get your hands on a Purple or Black Eagle, don't worry,  this one will not disappoint.

What would be the difference between the purple Eagle and the War Eagle?

I have the Purple Eagle and can only use it when I see enough oil, like last Thursday it was the only ball that would face up. It worked so good I took the doubles pot with a guy on my team. But this is the first time I used it this year. So I keep it in my bag for my oiler but its far and few in between when I get to use it.

Sevenpin, longer and stronger. Same cover, higher RG (less early revs), lower diff (less flare potential) means cleaner down the lane, then more bounce off the dry when it sees it.

The Black/Neon green looks like Pre-Ebonite Track Arsenal Artillery.  I may have to get it just because of that!

What would be the difference between the purple Eagle and the War Eagle?

Compared to the Black Eagle, the War Eagle is cleaner up front, and goes a bit longer and has a stronger backend. I had problems with the Black Eagle at Nationals last year as it was reading too early, I would have to think that the War Eagle will solve that issue and provide a better backend and more recovery room. I still love the Break core and this ball is so nice. The video they put together for it is spot on. Great comparison at the end with the Black Eagle.

From the video it looks like it is not near as strong as the eagle. The ball still looks good, maybe a good ball to switch to when the Eagle is hooking early.

I agreed with Kong.  The Black Eagle and War Eagle will probably be a sick 1-2 combo.

Hence why I have a Black Eagle and War Eagle on order!

I drilled a 2.5" pin WE pin under ring, cg was left of center line, MB at 65*ball is hook stupid, has little more length than the BE, very strong motion off the spot. WE is definitly a winner !!

Has anyone compared the war Eagle 2 the look?
Title: Re: War Eagle
Post by: bass on February 07, 2013, 02:01:38 PM
For me the War Eagle changed direction quicker on the backend compared to the Look.
But the layouts might be a factor more so than anything else.
Look is a 6" pin with surface on it.
War eagle is a CG in the palm  10:30 layout.

WE very predictable motion, shot 697 with it last night, like Bass says pretty strong at the break point, angular yet under control with plenty of continuation.
