Hi! I am currently using columbia balls mostly.. But lately, I am thinking about trying a global 900 ball for my heavy oil ball.. which one would you suggest?? and why?? tnx!
-
Well which Columbia Ball are you using?? Tell us more about how you throw the ball, pending on your style it's hard for anyone to give you a good suggestion.

In general, the Bounty for heavy and the Break for medium heavy.

220...221...whatever it takes.

Well what happens if he throw is 11 mph and is rev dominate? Your statement would lead him in the wrong direction? If he did throw it that way a creature or Link would suit him better, don't you think?

Sir, that is why he said in general. He is in general stating your "typical" house bowler.
-
who's "general", mine or his? To broad of statement to make...just my two cents sir....

well, I have the action packed and the max of the old ones, and the momentum, rival, archrival and the jazz of the new ones.. well, I think that I'm between a stroker and a cranker... medium high track... hope this helps?

Bounty and Break Pearl would be the two I would start with. Then you can fill in from that point.

No I don't think so. Yesterday the high school team had a match on heavy oil.
Now the team has 4 players with "hand and revs" They were using "OIL" balls.
And they struggled!!!!!!!
So I would not recommend a link or a creature to Superman if he said he was looking for a ball for "heavy oil"
Now to answer his question. The Bounty is by far the best pure heavy oil ball in their line. The Break S75 may be something that will handle the oil and get you deeper into the nite then a Bounty. Mainly because of it's low grit compound finish.
Of course the way one would prep the cover will have a bearing on the balls performance. But talking box finish, I would go Bounty

I understand and appreciate you views, I guess my statement was we need more information before anyone can give a ball suggestion. We all know what happens if that suggestion goes bad, a customer will shy away from a particular company because of one bad miss match.
On the other hand I've had way more success story's with customers that were hand heavy with lower speeds by taking a weaker ball (i.e. Link or Creature) and making the surface right for their style. I know everyone does it different.

Hose, that's a good point. However these young bowlers also had speed.
And too many times the bowlers with slow speed, have no hand. What you are suggesting would tend to work better for someone with hand revs and slow to med speed, an accurate.

oh.. ok.. but which one would be more versatile?? is the bounty just for heavy oil only, and would roll out on medium oil?
