Who Is Using a Desert Hook?

Anyone using one?  Layout, bowler stats. lane condition used on?  Likes/dislikes?

bass tried one for your frictious old wood in Oshkosh?

I haven't drilled anything from the Hook lines ever.
Last time I tried anything weak was the Missing Link.
Problem I have with drilling lower hook potential stuff is..... the dry is too dry to play out there.
So if you try to ride the oil line edge with it you get Major over/under.
Because of this I normally use older equipment at T&O until the weather calms down then I can ball up to midpriced stuff.
Even my plastic spare ball is hooking there right now.
So I am trying to throw a 6"pin Favorite or a 6.5" pin Pink Eagle.
This is from inside of 15 out to about 5-7 at 45-50'.
Which might not seem extreme to alot of you.
But factor in aboveground ball returns and very slippery approaches.
Makes for some interesting nights.

I am still considering drilling one up.
But for right now I will Traber it.

I just drilled one up last week. The layout is pin above the ring finger, with the cg kicked out about an inch.(Sorry, I don't know dual angles.)I've only had the chance to use the ball once, but I have a favorable first impression. I was playing on a torched house shot, playing third arrow to 7-8 at the break point. Ball motion was smooth and predictable(I couldn't make the ball snap) and I found the pin carry to be above average. I also used a Yeti with a similar drilling playing across fifth arrow out to 5-7 at the break point, and had a much harder time holding pocket. My thought is that this ball would be useless for more than light-medium volumes, but it should shine on lighter, or short patterns. I hope this helps you out!

just drilled up a NIB Wisdom with a 6.5" pin will let you know how that works at T&O.

I am trying a B/G Centaur tonite at frictious BAV in the track @P5000 basic Storm Step #3.   No look there I will be moving in as you do.

I picked up a desert hook yesterday.  Threw a couple of frames in league last night.

Definitely the most length of any reactive I have ever got my hands on based on my initial observations.

Moved to a lane after league that had no oil at all outside 7 (they had hand stripped the outside after oiling to demonstrate something earlier in the day).

The D-hook would check up as soon as it hit that dry but not over-react. 

Need to bowl with it some more on a regular dry pattern to truely form a better opinion, but I'm encouraged.

I also have a Desert Hook. My drilling and comments virtually identical to stc067. Very good mildly aggressive ball. Predictable, usuable from multiple angles, carries well above average on the right shot. Nice looking too. Don't use it much but glad I have it.

Hmmmm??
Do you have swing area (you miss outside) or pull area (you miss inside) or both?
and on what type of pattern are you bowling?

Drilled Wisdom up on tuesday.
Taped it up last night...
Threw it in practice.
Started front 18 with it.
Shot 755.
It's a keeper.
My doubles partner who I bowl with tried it a couple of shots.
Went straighter than anything he currently throws.
