specs see profile

layout:
pin over cg out 1 3/4 in from center grip x hole on val

shots i've tried it on:

fresh house shot:
this ball for me is useless on a house shot hooks just too damn much, is really angular on house pattern for me just not long enough and too much friction. does clear the heads really well but i have to fight it from the start.

PBAX(scorpion and shark):
on the scorpion this ball is great it gives me the feel of a house shot with that few boards margin for error. was able to just bounce it of the 7 board  and it came back when i missed out a little and held when i missed inside a hair.

on the shark i feel this ball would be better with the shine knocked off it allows me to stand on 15 and play around the 7 board but wasnt very forgiving. for slower ball speeds this ball would be great on the shark but goes a hair long for me and i dont really want to mess with the surface on this one but will probably drill another one of a regular bounty hunter for this pattern and nationals next spring.

I absolutely LOVE this ball.

I just shot 300 with it last night during league (on a house shot).  The Bounty Hunter Pearl rolls up nice in the mid-lane and has a STRONG arc motion, which is hard to find in a pearl cover.

Although I haven't used it on the PBA oil patterns yet (because the tour is on break right now), I believe it will work great on Shark, Scorpion and possibly Chameleon.

I have my Bounty Hunter Pearl drilled with a 3" pin, with the pin just below my ring finger, with the CG and mass bias kicked out and an extra hole.

Nothing is perfect, easy control, always hit the pocket but the carry is so-so. (My ball don't have enough angle to hit the pocket, maybe some oil on the back of the lane).  My first 900 global, nothing very speacil. Do what the pearl ball do, skip on carry down. Not for oily lane use.

Ball spec's 15.2 2.5" pin 2.5 top
My profile: speed 14-16mph, power stroker rt hand.

Lane surface overlays and synthetic.

Drilling: 5" pin from PAP pin down, box finish & 4000 abralon.

The NEW Bounty Hunter a Pearl version of the solid fits nicely into the 900 Global line.  If you're looking for a pearl to use in medium to oily conditions this could be your ball of choice.  This pearl really has a lot of midlane read and it comes off the dry hard!  More of a hard arc/flip than a skid/flip for me.  I shot a quick 300 in league play with it and noticed it gave me some room to miss in the oil and still have enough to recover and carry.  Once the lanes dried up I could get in with it and get good reaction but lost some room to miss wide as my ball speed and rotation caused this gem to roll-out and I lost carry.

I then tried it with a quick 4000 abralon hit and found it to be much smoother and easier to throw on real fresh conditions.  This ball sniffs dry and goes left polished.  With the little surface change I could go straighter, swing the dry and still get plenty of hold and turn.  Great ball for mediums, slower speeds and crankers that had an issue with the original Bounty Hunter.

Great ball from 900 Gloabl!

Ball laid out 5" x 70 x 45. This is my furthest pin to pap ball in my bag and laid out for a ball to get through the heads when they break down. This is definatley not my go to ball when the heads break down. First few times I threw it had excellent length and strong backend, but terrible carry. Left 7's and 10's constantly. After a few tries (approximately 10 games), finally was ready to get rid of this ball. Very lightly hit the ball with 2000 abralon (hit hit by hand and not on ball spinner). This made world of difference. Not a strong noticable change in lenght/backend, but carry increased tremendously. This ball with a 5" pin to pap is as strong as equipment in my bag with 4" pin to pap. Very impressed with this ball from 900 Global.

I wouls Figure that I have had the ball long enough now to post a significant review of the ball.  I drilled it pin over the ring cg stacked and mb an inch away from the thumb.  The ball is extremely angular, which is great to open up the lane and to play deep inside lines.  I left this ball in box condition to get a good impression of what it could do and all I did when the polish worn away from use was polish it back up and it was good to go.  On house shots with lighter medium volume this was the first ball out of the bag. On medium shots when my creature would not come back hard enough to trip the corners then the BHP would come out. On heavy and long patterns forget about it.  This ball is very receptive to hand changes and can give you a myriad of reactions.  Generally the identity of this ball is skid flip.  It is designed as advertised.

LANE CONDITION

Length: Mostly Kegel patterns between 37 and 45 feet long.

Volume: Roughly between 17 and 29 mL.

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): Boardwalk, Middle Road, Beaten Path, Sunset Strip, Route 66, Easy Street, Main Street and THS of varying lengths and volumes.

COMMENTS

Likes: I have been fine with the Bounty Hunter Pearl on all the medium and long patterns I have tried it on. On Route 66 (45 ft) I found a good line going straight up 12. On the Kegel medium length patterns the best lines on fresh shots started somewhere around 15 at the arrows with breakpoints somewhere between 7 and 12. On THS I have been better off increasing the angle by moving in to between  22 and 17 at the arrows.

Dislikes: This ball does not work well for me on shorter, lower volume patterns.

General:  The Bounty Hunter Pearl reads the midlane well and has a strong, continuous reaction in the backend. It needs oil in the heads and in the midlane to perform well. I have tried different surface changes and found that the factory settings (2000 polished) works best for me.

This is the first ball I try when I face a fresh medium length shot. I like it and would recommend it to others.
