I drilled up my Profit roughly 5 ¼ x 4 ½ with the pin just above my ring finger and no extra hole.  This is the same layout as my Break Out.  I chose this layout to see how this ball would complement the Break Out.  I really like the ball motion the Break Out gives me and I was hoping for the same look downlane but longer.  This is almost exactly what the Profit gives me.

The Profit is very clean through the fronts, reads the mids stronger than I expected, and is very continuous on the back end.  I expected this ball to be a little more skid flippy like the Break Point Pearl, but the Profit is a little smoother off of the friction and much more continuous.

The first time I had a chance to try the Profit was on a relatively long house shot on AMF HPL’s.  I was able to start with my Break Out, and then transition very smoothly into my Profit.  It gave me a cleaner look through the front with a similar motion downlane and through the pins.  I also had a chance to use the ball on a lighter volume house shot on Pro Anvilane.  The Profit gave me something no other ball I had could.  It cleared the fronts, gave me room right, and continued through the pins better than I ever would have guessed.

To sum up the Profit so far I would say it’s the perfect step down from the Break Out.  It provides a similar look downlane with extra push through hook in the fronts.  A perfect medium condition ball.

I have this ball drilled same as my Benchmark ball, which is a Break Out with 4.5" pin to PAP and Mass Bias about 1" right of my thumb hole (cg towards center of grip).  This ball so far seems great to compliment the breakout, definitely has issues of leaving splits and hitting weak if you don't play it correctly.  Have to get a good entry angle and play a more outside line with it, compared with the break out drilled the same.  It isn't as flippy or skid snap, arc more down lane but strong in the back end, definitely different than most Pearl balls are usually.  It definitely is exactly what it's advertised as, a good compliment to the break out which allows you to get more right than you would with a similar drilled break out.  Just want to make sure you get right enough cause if you try the exact same line the break out works on, you'll end up hitting weak and leaving some odd splits.

Finally after a good amount of testing and shortening my span on this ball, I am finally able to do a review on it.

My Profit is drilled 50x4.25x25 with a small weighthole on P2 which was meant to give me the strongest backend reaction of the 4 new balls (didn't get the Missing Link yet)

What I got was just that. More length than my Bank and a very strong move of the friction with lots of continuation through the pins.

For me this ball serves more a filler role in my arsenal, because I can usually go from my Bank straight to my Favorite on a more outside line. But if my Favorite has still to much oil in the middle and is already to soon on the outside, the Profit will jump in and do the trick playing through the oil into the dry shredding the rack!

I think, with a more mainstream layout, this ball will handle much more conditions than with my layout, but so far this ball serves its purpose perfectly for me.

My profile: speed 14-16mph, power stroker rt hand.

Lane surface overlays and synthetic.

Drilling: 5 x 5 pin up, box finish.

The Profit for me is an updated version of the Break Pearl, more roll, more backend, more ball.  Put an old favorite layout on mine, pin up 5 x 5.  Not a true skid/flip ball.  Has some midlane and real hard arc/flip to it.  Really nice in-to-out ball playing around 18 at the arrows.  Doesn't have that overreaction to dry, would lay off for a trip 4.  Didn't play with the surface yet - reacts good the way it is and fits a nice niche for me.

If you liked the Break Pearl, you'll love the Profit!

 I have had my Profit for quite a bit now and it deserves a review,


 


first off I have always been a big fan of AMF and I am now a huge fan of 900 Global,


 


I have my Profit drilled pin over ring cg out with a balance hole and this ball is my benchmark,


I have already bowled 2) 800's this year with it and several big 700's and this ball does it all,it gets through the heads very well and reads the mid very good and hitting power it has nothing to be ashamed of,I keep trying other balls but keep going back to 900 Global....I also have been averaging over 225 in both my leagues and recently had the house have more mid lane oil so I have a Raw Profit coming hopefully to fill that spot in my bag....I hope they continue the Profit line with maybe a pearl again called the "Net Profit"

I have had two Profits so far and both have been a great asset to my bag. For me, I like to think of this ball as a stronger Bounty Hunter Pearl, but with a similar shape.

 

Anotherwords, this ball, even though it is a pearl, tends to start rolling early and continues with a strong backend. This type of reaction can be very beneficial because not only does it simulate a dull ball reaction (very smooth rolling with a predictable shape), but the pearl cover allows you to also create some tug room, which is very hard to do with normal dull surface equipment.

 

I highly recommend this ball!

Likes: Another great ball in my arsenal. I waited to drill mine till i saw more of what it was doing as i was selling them in the shop and i saw alot of good reactions out of my customers. The ball works phenomenol on house patterns and many sport shots as long as their is friction. I also like how well it compliments my bank pearl as my bank pearl handles a bit more oil and has a much more angular shape and as that ball has to be put away when i see transition my profit is a great compliment.


Dislikes: Not much so far, ive had it for awhile and it is probably the first ball out of my bag when i want to score in league as that ball reads so well off friction it throws pins around......for the league bowler looking to make a "profit" this ball definetly comes highly recommended.
