The new Drift from 900 Global is the newest addition to the Tour Preferred line. This ball is a bit of a step up from the last release in the line, The X with more length and backend reaction. When the lanes are drying up, or you are bowling on a lighter oil condition, the Drift will be the idea ball to move in deep and open up the lane while still being able to clear the heads. This ball is designed with tournament shots in mind, so when the lanes are flat and tricky this ball will allow you to play steeper angles with a little more room for error. This ball will also be one that I use a lot on the medium house condition shot. It will allow you to play multiple angles and will be forgiving for getting a little too grabby at the bottom of the swing.

   The Drift is the newest release for 900 Global in its Tour Preferred Series!  The Drift has a new cover and a new Hula core specially designed for medium to dry lanes! On some conditions I'm able to move considerably left when the lanes are broken down and be able to curve the pattern with ease.  Other situations allow me to stay to the right much longer on those wet dry house shots you encounter on a weekly basis.  Man does this ball have a nice look to it!  The lane must encounter some friction for the Drift to work well.....  so the next time you have to Drift left cause the lanes are starting to hook, pull out this ball to use and add more Performance for YOUR game.

When I have difficulty clearing the heads; the Drift is my savior.  A step up from the X due its controlled backend motion, the Drift is ideal for medium to dryer patterns.  It allows you to open up the lane on the dryer conditions without the worry of sharp reactions off the friction.  I never leave my Drift behind when preparing for tournament; as it allows me to stay in the hunt towards the end of block when the lanes get rough.

The Drift has been a welcomed addition to the Tour Line this season. To be honest, this release is probably my favorite to this point.  On a fresh THS, I find that this ball needs to be kept in the bag.  Once you start to see transition you can easily ball down to this piece to stay right.  When comparing it to an X, it is a few feet cleaner with more angle off the spot.  The S62 Cover is very tunable as well. I have seen this one taken down to 3K sheen, and it became a whole new piece downlane. I opted to keep the factory finish on mine simply to prevent overlap in my bag.  The Drift has a bunch of shelf appeal as well.  It reminds me of the Victory Road pearl without the maple syrup smell.  Overall if you have an X and need something a little cleaner or want to give Global a shot...pick this one up.

The 900 Global Drift is a must in the bag!  Does as advertised, drifts down the lane with ease and has a powerful move off the spot!  Really is continuous through the pins, that's what impressed me the most.  Ball hits very hard.  Left it right out of the box and for me with soft speed its a gem on a house shot.  Able to play in and swing the track area with excellent success.  744 1st night.  Overall impressive ball from 900 Global.  Drilled it 5 x 4, pin down right over the label, no hole.  Kind of a throw back skid/flip type ball for me.  At this price point the Drift is a must have.  Length, flip, muscle and carry, what else can you ask for!  Great addition to the 900 Global family.

COMMENTS
The Drift will be cleaner through the heads and provide more backend movement than the X. A great compliment for when you need more length and backend movement. Overall I found the Drift needed to have some friction downlane in order to get to the pocket and not the best ball for fresh lanes. The Drift provides a great option for when the lanes transition from all of the ball traffic and your X or Chemical X isn't quite making the corner. The Drift is best suited for medium lane conditions. The Tour Preferred Series is shaping into a must have for any bowler!

Likes: The polished cover gets through the fronts with no squirt. Movement down lane is very predictable and smooth off the spot. I have used this ball in two different leagues since drilling it and have shot 746 and 762 out of the box.
