I had been waiting on this ball to release for quite some time.  When I was using another company’s equipment I really missed that certain hybrid motion it was giving me.  This ball is everything I wanted it to be and more.  It is drilled pin down 1” below the bridge and a 30-degree angle right with the CG and 1500-grit on the cover.  I was able to try this out on a sport pattern and it was so predictable and smooth.  It gives you just enough arc in the back of the lane to pop the pocket and send the pins flying.  You’ll want this ball if you’re looking for something smooth and straight through the heads and an arc reaction to the pocket.  Plus the ball just looks great. (My PAP is 5 3/4” right and 5/8” up, ball speed is about 15.5mph and medium rev rate)

Drift 50x5x60
Speed    17MPH
Rev rate   450
PAP   4-7/8 and 1/3 up
Axis Tilt   15 degrees
Axis Rotation   30 degrees

The new Drift from 900 Global is the newest addition to the Tour Preferred line. This ball is a bit of a step up from the last release in the line, The X with more length and backend reaction. When the lanes are drying up, or you are bowling on a lighter oil condition, the Drift will be the idea ball to move in deep and open up the lane while still being able to clear the heads. This ball is designed with tournament shots in mind, so when the lanes are flat and tricky this ball will allow you to play steeper angles with a little more room for error. This ball will also be one that I use a lot on the medium house condition shot. It will allow you to play multiple angles and will be forgiving for getting a little too grabby at the bottom of the swing.

Drift

The 900 Global Drift is the newest release in the Tour Preferred line and brings an all new core and ball motion. The Drift uses the Hula symmetric core wrapped with the S62 hybrid coverstock finished at 1500 grit polish. The Drift will be the easiest through the heads while giving an angular backend motion not seen in the tour preferred line. The Drift will be best utilized on medium to dry conditions where a stronger backend is needed, or conditions that are breaking down and seeing more friction in the heads and mid-lane. I drilled mine 45 x 4 ¼ x 40 with a P3 balance hole and found that 2000 grit enhanced the ball motion and allowed me to gain more mid-lane without sacrificing backend reaction.

Coverstock: S62â„¢ Hybrid
Finish: 1,500 Grit Polished

Core: Hulaâ„¢ Symmetric

.054 Differential
Positive Axis point 5 7/16 by 1/4
Layout 5 x 4 x 4

The Drift is the newest release for 900 Global in its Tour Preferred Series!  The Drift has a new cover and a new Hula core specially designed for medium to dry lanes! On some conditions I'm able to move considerably left when the lanes are broken down and be able to curve the pattern with ease.  Other situations allow me to stay to the right much longer on those wet dry house shots you encounter on a weekly basis.  Man does this ball have a nice look to it!  The lane must encounter some friction for the Drift to work well.....  so the next time you have to Drift left cause the lanes are starting to hook, pull out this ball to use and add more Performance for YOUR game.

Ball: 900 Global  Drift
Coverstock: S62â„¢ Hybrid
Finish: 1,500 Grit Polished
Color: Black Solid/Purple Pearl
Core: Hulaâ„¢ Symmetric
2.54 Radius of Gyration
.054 Differential

Drilling: 4 x 4x 4
Pap: 4 3/4 x 7/8 up

Lane Condition: 40 Foot THS
A new core and cover combination, the Drift is a perfect option when the lanes break down and you need to move left and get something that clears the front part of the lane easily and still is able to bounce of the dry down lane.  The purple color looks amazing going down the lane and the performance that you will get from this ball is unrivaled.

Compared to the X, the drift is longer and more angular and together they provide a great 1, 2 punch for your bowling needs.

When I have difficulty clearing the heads; the Drift is my savior.  A step up from the X due its controlled backend motion, the Drift is ideal for medium to dryer patterns.  It allows you to open up the lane on the dryer conditions without the worry of sharp reactions off the friction.  I never leave my Drift behind when preparing for tournament; as it allows me to stay in the hunt towards the end of block when the lanes get rough.

Likes:This is a motion that is new and welcoming to the 900 lineup. when your looking for a ball to open up the backend on med, med-light patterns look no further. used it in a tourney this past weekend on USBC blue pattern and it rolled amazing, with the lighter volume and the slight les oil in the middle of the lane made this ball really show what its capable of. 900 Global staff, Tim Janz

The Drift has been a welcomed addition to the Tour Line this season. To be honest, this release is probably my favorite to this point.  On a fresh THS, I find that this ball needs to be kept in the bag.  Once you start to see transition you can easily ball down to this piece to stay right.  When comparing it to an X, it is a few feet cleaner with more angle off the spot.  The S62 Cover is very tunable as well. I have seen this one taken down to 3K sheen, and it became a whole new piece downlane. I opted to keep the factory finish on mine simply to prevent overlap in my bag.  The Drift has a bunch of shelf appeal as well.  It reminds me of the Victory Road pearl without the maple syrup smell.  Overall if you have an X and need something a little cleaner or want to give Global a shot...pick this one up.

I just drilled this ball up, This ball is a truck going thru the pins. It's one of the most hardest hitting pieces I have owned. And wow does it turn the corner, while it's pretty angular with the pearl cover stock. I took it down to 4000 very lightly and it tamed it down a little. It's most certainly a investment of a ball. While I probably wouldn't use it on the fresh it's a must have for the transition. Its a lot of ball for the money. I honestly don't think that anyone would be upset with this purchase.

900 Global Drift
#15.1
2.5" pin
2.6 oz top

Rt. hand
14-15 mph
PAP 4 9/16 1/4 over

Drilling: 5 x 4, pin down
Volume 38-41ft
THS, Kegel Challenge Series

The 900 Global Drift is a must in the bag!  Does as advertised, drifts down the lane with ease and has a powerful move off the spot!  Really is continuous through the pins, that's what impressed me the most.  Ball hits very hard.  Left it right out of the box and for me with soft speed its a gem on a house shot.  Able to play in and swing the track area with excellent success.  744 1st night.  Overall impressive ball from 900 Global.  Drilled it 5 x 4, pin down right over the label, no hole.  Kind of a throw back skid/flip type ball for me.  At this price point the Drift is a must have.  Length, flip, muscle and carry, what else can you ask for!  Great addition to the 900 Global family.

The Drift has such a clean read through the front part of the lane with a nice angular backend reaction, yet super predictable. The S62 Hybrid coverstock in addition to the Hula Symmetric Core is what makes this ball such a beaut. Pin - 1 inch above ring, CG - 30 degrees to the right. Good for medium to dry lane conditions, I like to bring mine out when I move further inside, roughly games 3 or 4 just when the breakdown has set in. I never leave the house without it as this ball as it really has kept me out of trouble late in a block. Great looking ball, 900 Global definitely added something special to the Tour Preferred Series with this one. If you need something for you to get left and feel comfortable to open up your swing, look no further because the Drift is what you’re missing.

Layout: 70*x3-3/8"x30*
Ball Speed: 15.5 - 16
PAP: 4" (right), 3/8" (up)
Surface: OOB

COMMENTS
The Drift will be cleaner through the heads and provide more backend movement than the X. A great compliment for when you need more length and backend movement. Overall I found the Drift needed to have some friction downlane in order to get to the pocket and not the best ball for fresh lanes. The Drift provides a great option for when the lanes transition from all of the ball traffic and your X or Chemical X isn't quite making the corner. The Drift is best suited for medium lane conditions. The Tour Preferred Series is shaping into a must have for any bowler!

900 Global Drift

Speed 16MPH
Rev rate 325
PAP 5 ¾ x 3/8 Up
Dual Angle Layout- 50 x 4 ¼ x 40

The Drift is in the Tour Preferred 700 series made by 900 Global. I drilled this ball 50 x 4 ¼ x 40 to give to me medium length with a strong, smooth backend. And boy does this ball do that and more! This ball just refuses to over hook! The Drift has very quickly become my benchmark ball in my bag. It is my first ball out in league because it gives me the right combination of length and continuation needed to score on a house shot. Combining the S62 Hybrid coverstock and the high RG, high differential Hula core gives you a very versatile, mid to late rolling ball with outstanding down lane motion and supreme continuation through the pins. This ball can be thrown on a variety of patterns and still give you the strong and smooth look that you need. This is a must have ball for your arsenal, so what are you waiting for? Get yours today!
