I have two missing links one blue/silver and black/gray. This one of the best balls I have thrown by  global. I have one drilled at 10:30 which is the black/gray and the the blue/sliver  with the pin under  the middle finger.(I am right handed ). Ohh yes the balls are 14lbs, I had to go to 14lbs when I started getting back and shoulder problems. With the black/gray I shot 255, 258, 300. Playing a deep inside line, 34 to 7 pushing the ball 45ft to the break point. And a week later I did a two game 300  1st game I used a break point pearl with the Rico drill and shot 219. 2nd game used the b/p/p for the first 3 frames which to the blk/gray missing link off the sheet , and next  5 in a roll . Great ball by global. I have all the balls by global, can't wait to drill up the bank and the long shot for the fall leagues. Keep up the good work 900 global!!!!!!!!!. BOWl WITH BEsT 900 GLOBAL!!!!

Ball spec's 15.2 3.5" pin 3 top
My profile: speed 14-16mph, power stroker rt hand.

Lane surface overlays and synthetic.

Drilling: 6" pin from PAP pin up, box finish.

The NEW supped-up S40 Link is a great fit for dry lane conditions, playing the track area, burnt heads etc.  Drilled this one 6" from PAP.  NICE length nice smooth controllable pop.  Tested it in game 3 of a 5 man scratch league, toasted conditions on AMF synthetic's.  Was able to play around 3rd arrow when know one else with any kind of hand could come close to playing that part of the lane.  Carried the off-hits better than expeted.

Great ball to have in the arsenal, fits a niche and has a LOW price tag!

LAYOUT
Pin Placement = Above Ring Finger
Pin > PAP = 4 1/2
MB > PAP = 4
DUAL ANGLE = 45 x 30

CONDITIONS
39' House Shot & Kegel Route 66

REVIEW
I  decided to review this ball a little differently than previous balls.   Usually I give marks and breakpoints, but I wanted to explain the layout  and why I chose it based on my experience with the original LINK.

I  chose the layout because the core is very tall and promotes length very  easily.  Because this is not a high flaring ball I wanted to kick the  MB out and go with a little more aggressive pin placement (for me 4 1/2  is strong since my PAP is 5 1/8) to help ensure it picks up off the  patterns and doesn't have a tendency to skid too far.

I say  this because the original LINK I drilled was stacked and I had issues  getting a consistent reaction because any amount of oil down the lane  would cause the ball to wiggle giving me very little room for error.   This forced me to only play the lanes one way which is not what I  wanted.

To summarize the layout gives the MISSING LINK a more  defined starting point and reduces the balls tendency to squirt past the  break-point.  Because the core is stronger than the original LINK it  has more recovery and finishes better in the oil.

Obviously the  use of this ball is when the pattern is broken down.  I tend to go to  this ball when my Shredder is reading the pattern too soon or I am  playing a shot that has OB to the right.  The ball allows me to keep a  smaller mark to break-point window and because of the layout and extra  strength the characteristics of this ball possesses I'm able to hug the  oil line with confidence that misses into the oil will still finish.

I used the dual angle layout of 30deg x 2-3/4" x 30deg which placed the pin above and to the right of my ring finger. MB is on my val with a P3 weight hole! On the Kegel Main Street pattern I'm able to play a down n in shot closer to the 1st arrow and as the shot opens, I don't have to make big moves and can stay closer to the friction. Ball is very clean thru the heads and makes a nice read of the mid-lane without a big flip at the breakpoint. Very easy ball to use and very controllable with a nice hit and finish! A great ball for medium to medium-light oil conditions! Nice job from the gang at 900 Global

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):
Dry house shot

COMMENTS
Pro shop comments about ball and drilling:  Ball has a longer pin than normal and is drilled with pin just over ring finger. C.G.is kicked just a bit off center. Not meant to be a heavy hooker at all.
Likes:Ball was drilled for "second shift" oil conditions. It works! Goes long with a hard but very controllable snap at the end. The carry down does not seem to be a problem. This ball does hit hard, it is difficult to believe it is an entry level ball. Not the newest ball on the market but well worth having in your bag when you run into those dry lanes.

Dislikes: Non so far. I have only used this ball on light oil conditions two times and that was in practice conditions. Both occasions I bowled about 30 pins over my average.

This is an add on to my previous review.
After working a bit with the guys at Red Wave Proshop a weight hole was added just about in my PAP to smooth out the back end. First time I used it was in league was "sweeper" night. Shot my high game with it ,114 pins over average in second game. Yes I like this ball.

Likes:This ball works for me. Nice break a back but nothing too hard.
