900 Global has done it again!  The Hard Drive was a great addition to my Arsenal!  This ball is great for any style bowler on medium –heavy conditions.  As a down-and-in bowler with medium to fast ball speed, it rolled down the lane very nicely and finished with a strong, smooth break to the pocket.  I was able to adjust well when the shot broke down. Very attractive colors with the NEAT “T” pad surface to grip to the lane. This ball is great for league or tournaments.   A versatile ball that is sure to raise your average or make bank in any tournament!

I drilled my Hard Drive with a simple 1/2 side 1/2 finger layout so I could compare it to my equipment I drill for my favorite house shot pattern. (40 feet of oil from 8 to 8) I started by playing 15 to 10 and found it was way to strong for that, so I ended up playing 20 to 15 and had a nice shot for the first game 268, I started the second game off with a 4-6 split and made a 2 and 2 move  and got back to hitting the hole and ended up with a 226, to start the third game I made another 2-2 move but the ball just wouldn't hold pocket and I only managed a 201 game. Overall the ball is very strong in the midland with an aggressive arcing backend. Please note you must have oil or you need to keep it in your bag. Good Luck and keep hitting them hard. JMD878

Likes: I drilled my Hard Drive pin down and kicked mass out 2". This ball clears the heads with ease and has a very strong arcing motion with great continuation down lane.Very smooth and easy to read. Need to use this ball on med-heavy oil condition. I can also use on a very wet-dry house shot to smooth out the backend. I had to play 18-22 on the house pattern but I had great results (stone8,9 then the 14 strikes. Overall rating in my book is A+. Very versatile ball that can be used in variety of ways. Thanks to 900Global for making such great Bowling Balls.

Length: 38-42 feet

Volume: medium/heavy

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): house and tournament

From the minute you open the box, you will notice the Hard Drive is in a class by itself.  The Midnight Blue/Steel color combination is just plain cool looking!  I couldn’t believe how much this ball motors threw any amount of oil put out on the lanes.
Even though this ball starts up a little earlier I was very impressed how I could play outside with it and still not worry about leaving flat corners.  The flexibility that Global built into this ball is truly second to none.  This ball is very continuous and extremely predictable!
If you need a good all around ball that can be used in oil and also when the conditions dictate a straighter approach, the Hard Drive is what you have been looking for.

This new release from 900 Global looks absolutely sweet!  Great color combo.  Drilled my Hard Drive with a 5 x 5 layout, CG swung 1" right of center, pin up.  The Hard Drive gave me a extreme arc reaction.  The motion of this ball is unique.  Seems to want to roll the entire lane.  Love the T finish, looks shiny but still wanted to roll.  Great benchmark ball for me on medium to heavy oil.  Let me play straighter on the lane without any over under reaction AND still carried the corners.  I am excited to see what this one will do on tournament conditions with oil/wet-dry looks.  Great ball to have in your arsenal from 900 Global!

Likes:As soon as I got the ball out of the box, I loved the color combination so it is very pleasing to the eye. I layed this ball out with a 5 1/2 inch pin above the fingers. And it looks like to me like this ball is the one that will be replacing the train line of balls. It is definitely the most hooking ball of their new fall line of equipment. In comparing it to the original train, I would say it hooks about as many boards. But that this one has a little more length on it and a stronger move at the breakpoint than the Train. Don't let the out of box appearance of ball fool you, this ball will read heavy amounts of oil and give you a great reaction to the pocket. I like this ball on the house shots that have more oil in the middle and where you also need the ball to make a pronounced move at your breakpoint. If thats what you are looking for than this is it. Ball will also be good on PBA patterns like the shark with a little surface adjustment using the "e" pad with neat finishing system. Hard Drive will also be good for lower rev rate players on Chameleon and USBC Championship leaving surface the way it is out of the box. 900 has done a great job getting a ball to replace the Train. Well done!

If you're looking for a ball that has a great midlane read, with a predictable yet amazing backend finish, look no further than the new 900 Global Hard Drive. The beautiful blue and silver colors and the T-Pad 4000 grit finish really compliment the S74 cover. A great benchmark piece for any type of bowler. had a four game league set of 278, 289, 290, and 279 with it over the summer under adverse conditions on the lanes and approaches. The Hard Drive really wowed everyone that threw it at the demos. It is the hottest selling ball of the summer. Don't be "that guy" that doesn't have one in his bag this season! 900 global really outdid themselves with this beast! Get an AMF Solar Flare and 900 Global Protocol to complete your arsenal. They all compliment each other well! Check out my videos of 900 Global/AMF Products on youtube, username "conventionalspinner"..

Drilled 50 x 4 1/2 x 35

I finally have a ball to replace my Eagle. This ball clears the fronts and makes a strong down lane move that is angular enough to play the lane right into the sixth arrow. Being a bit rev challenged it is nice to see a ball I can get left with a send it out the gutter and not have to worry about the ball making it back to the pocket and striking. Carry is outstanding and I have had more then few pins flying back across the deck to kick out any 10 pin that dare stand.

I will say you do need a little oil up front or the ball will read the lanes too quickly and that could kill the normal back end potential for this new release.

If you are looking a try 900 Global for the first time or you a are looking for that ball to replace your trusty 900G Eagle this is the one to buy.

Great ball for medium oil.  Hit the cover and the ball will handle heavier patterns.  Not for dry lanes.  Very strong midlane and strong back end.  Speed dominate players or bowlers who want to open up the lane will love this ball.

COMMENTS

About the Hard Drive: This is the strongest pearl out of San Antonio in a while. The strong core/cover combo allows it to handle heavy oil patterns while the pearl in the cover helps it downlane enough to keep it from being unusable on medium oil. This ball definitely needs oil in the heads to keep it from getting into a roll too early. The Hard Drive is gonna best fit faster ball speed players and higher rotation players or fit for more matched bowlers on patterns that have a higher concentration of oil in the front part of the lane.

If you are looking for a skid/flip monster look somewhere else. The Hard Drive is far from that. This piece reads the mid lane well with a strong arc on the back end. It reminds me of an amped up R/S Wisdom. This ball is very user friendly and tells you when to put it away as well. It doesn't hurt that it looks good going down the lane either....great piece

If you need a ball that likes oil, this ball is for you!  This ball is great on the fresh and does not overreact when it makes contact with the friction down lane.

I really liked it when there was an over/under and choose to move inside the spot on the lane.  I could tighten the line up and not worry about the ball not coming back.  The scoring was great!  Great job 900 Global!

The "Hard Drive" just got this ball, what an amazing ball, reads the midlanes like no other ball, lets you know when the lanes are breaking down and to move, I used to be all MOTIV, but not anymore, I am on the 900 Global/AMF advisory staff, I had an opportunity and glad I took it. thank you 900 global for making an awesome ball.
