Drilling pattern: 77 x 5.25 x 42
Pin placement: Above middle finger

I've been experimenting lately with longer pin to PAP drillings in an effort to maximize energy conservation (I am a rev dominant player with unfortunately not a lot of ball speed therefore much of my stuff rolls very early) and delay hook. This layout did just that and also provided more of a tumbling reaction rather a sharp backend. The pearl coverstock (while still incredibly strong) glided through the oil and read the mid-lane very well and the carry percentage on good shots was off the charts. Absolutely fantastic ball on THS patterns (haven't used on anything else quite yet). One thing I will say is with the strength of the core/cover combination, some head and mid-lane oil is necessary (at least for me/rev dominant players) as a few times when the ball was leaked in to the dry it stood up immediately and went through the nose. Shots that were projected properly though, I haven't seen a ball put 10 back so efficiently.

The color scheme looks pretty cool going down the lane too!

Honey Badger Extreme Pearl: Tour Plus 750 Series
Coverstock: S74R Pearl Solid
Finish: 1500 Grit; Polished
Core:  3-piece Grapnel Asymmetric
RG: 2.54 (15lb)
Differential: 0.053 (15lb)
Int. Diff: 0.011 (14lb) (15lb) (16lb)
Layout: 50 x 4 1/4 x 40
Tester PAP: 4 1/2 R, 1/2 D
Lane Condition:  Medium – Dry

The Honey Badger Extreme, Plus 750 Series, is TNT for any arsenal!  The Honey Badger Extreme Pearl is a guided missile with one mission!  Explode on impact! Let’s break down this “Pearl” weapon!

900 Global took it’s highly successful 2-piece Grapnel Asymmetric Core (found in the original Honey Badger) and added an outer core which “has increased our dynamic integrity across the weights.”  OK, what does that mean?  After rolling a 15 lb. version, what I witnessed was a ROLL that rivals’ the best of a 16 lb. ball crunch! Light hits swirled, high hits exploded and even those ugly, “I’m in trouble hits” somehow managed to keep in play.  This powerful, explosive ball motion found in a lighter weight ball is clearly a welcomed asset to exciting pin carry!

The versatile S74R Pearl Coverstock was used in the 900 Global Inception and Truth Pearl lines and was colorfully added to the new Honey Badger Extreme Pearl.  This unique formulation added a new perspective to Pearls for a high speed, low rev player like me.  The 1500 grit, polished box surface served well as the sister to the Honey Badger Extreme “Solid”. Further, when I surfaced the Pearl with 1000 grit polished for an early THS, it cleared the heads decisively and had a predictable mid-lane motion making it a strong early night ball.  On a late night, burnt up, THS, I hit the cover with 3000 and was able to “move in” to places well out of the comfort zone and enjoyed a wider sweeping degree of entry angle.  I’m a fan of surface adjustments and by far this unique coverstock has become my 900 Global favorite!

In closing, the 900 Global  Honey Badger Extreme “Pearl” is sharp looking, well-crafted jewel.  From the relentless back-end motion of the 3-Piece Grapnel Asymmetric Core to its beautifully colored S74R Pearl Coverstock this ball hits hard and looks great doing it.  For high speed/low rev players, the 900 Global Honey Badger Extreme “Pearl” is an excellent choice when adding to your arsenal! Try one today!

Honey Badger Extreme Pearl
Another versatile ball from the 900 Global family
The Honey Badger Extreme Pearl will give you complete control on mostly
Medium and medium dry conditions. This is not a flip type of ball motion, it is more of a hard arch which keeps you in the pocket area, and easier to control the break point.
This ball will match up will all styles of bowling and all speeds. I used a medium reaction layout for this one and the reward was less lane adjustments. Also saw no difference in the 15lb vs the 14lb, both carried well from multiple angles. A great all-around ball.
Get one.

WOW....this ball is great for most of the house shots I bowl on. It's one of the 1st balls out of my bag. I did take a 3000 pad to this ball, for me anyway, I like how this rolls, If there is more oil, I'd start off with the Extreme Solid, then switch to this ball. If I have to then the Money Badger Pearl comes out if it dries up even more. This ball rolls amazing, I was shocked actually, I love the ball and the way it comes off my hand!
