Description: The Bullet Train S79 Hybrid coverstock is best suited for heavy to medium-heavy oil. To harness the energy from the more aggressive S79 coverstock the Combustion Core now features a 2.55 RG and 0.040 Diff. This pairing produces a strong mid-lane reaction with plenty of continuation. The new Bullet Train has excellent eye appeal and is a great compliment to the Freight Train. I laid the Bullet Train out the same as my Freight Train with a 4 X 3 pattern and tested them on a 41 foot pattern. The Bullet Train was very smooth and even rolling through the entire pattern. The Bullet Train was not as angular as the Freight Train at the back of the pattern, so I was able to chase the shot left and the ball made a very smooth move back to the pocket with no problem. The Bullet Train is a lot smoother than the Freight Train because of its hybrid cover stock and can be used on a wider variety of patterns so if you threw the Freight Train and liked it then you will love the Bullet Train.

1st off the Bullet Train is a monster on the lanes!  But also VERY playable on the lanes.  I like the versatile hybrid cover. Drilled this very basic pin up 6" from PAP right over the label.  I'm a slower tweener and didn't want this one to burn up too fast.  Put some compound polish on it as the ball looks really dull even though it's Global's A pad finish.  OOB 760/290.  The ball was aggressive but I was able to stay with it for 3 games without much trouble.  Moved 5 and 3 total for the night.  Has some skid up front, a strong midlane read and a stronger hard arc on the backend.  Carry was super.  What was impressive is that the last game when everyone was having carrydown issues I had none to speak of!  290 finish!  Other bowlers on the pair using IQ's, Aura's were having issues with getting the ball to finish.  I'm extremely impressed with the ball's hitting power and cover that's very tweakable.  Bullet Train's a winner on medium to heavy for any style in my book!

It’s somewhat disappointing 900 Global is not PBA approved, especially seeing how this ball really had more to offer on the tougher patterns than it did the house shot. On the house shot, most bowlers will like a ball that has a bit more pop which allows some forgiveness. You can still be very successful with this ball if you prefer more direct lines. On the other hand, most bowlers will love the control and continuous roll this ball has on flatter patterns. You might want to be careful on lighter patterns as this ball is likely to lose too much energy with the aggressive coverstock finish.
This ball is not the punchiest ball on the backends, but it offers control and continuation. At first, we weren’t in awe with the ball motion. However, as we understood better how to use this piece, we were thoroughly impressed with the continuation and carry. We did find it a very nice step down to the really big wheeling pieces when you just don’t need a ball that will hook the whole lane. That means it will be usable on medium patterns and longer patterns like the 42 ft house shot we are using.  It also generated a fair bit more entry angle than we anticipated when we evaluated it using Digitrax.

Likes:All aboard the Bullet Train! This is a great ball if you are looking for a more aggressive pearl. I truly love the length I get from this ball. When the heads fry I know I can turn to the Freight Train to give me the length I need in the front and a crisp turn into the pocket. This is definitely my go to ball when others are reading the lanes too early.

if you are looking for an aggressive smooth reaction ball this is it. There are no surprises when you roll it. Smooth through the heads and even smoother at the break point. Nice addition to the previous trains.
