Introducing The Origin—the groundbreaking first release in 900Global’s new high-performance series, setting a new standard in asymmetric power. Equipped with the all-new Ellipse A.I. Core, The Origin delivers unparalleled torque and precision with a single-density weight block, offering unmatched control through even the heaviest oil. Paired with the advanced RB93 Hybrid Coverstock and finished with the Power Edge polish, this ball retains energy beautifully for a powerful, controlled finish. Inspired by the legacy of the renowned Barnes family—Chris, Lynda, and Ryan—the Origin is a culmination of years of innovation, crafted for serious bowlers ready to elevate their game. Its striking two-tone blue pearl and purple solid design makes an impression both visually and on the scoreboard. The Ellipse A.I. Core lies at the heart of The Origin, pushing asymmetric performance to new heights. By balancing weight across the Y and Z axes, this core delivers a reliable, torque-heavy reaction that powers through challenging lane conditions. The single-density weight block maintains top-to-bottom balance for consistent energy retention and an explosive backend finish. Featuring the highest intermediate diff-to-diff ratio in any 900Global ball, The Origin is engineered for bowlers seeking peak performance, control, and power with every throw.

900 Global Origin Review
Layout-VLS 5x4 3/8x2
Surface-Storm Power Edge
The 900 Global features a new Ellipse Asymmetrical AI core wrapped in the new RB93 Hybrid Coverstock.
The Origin core uses a very strong intermediate diff which makes it very strong at the breakoint.
The Origin will be a great compliment to the to the 900 Global lineup.
Compared to the Harsh Reality Pearl you will see more length and a stronger move at the breakpoint with no quit on the backend.
The Orgin will still read the midlane but with a strong angular motion on the backend creating a strong enrty angle.
The Orgin reminds me alot of the OG Zen through the fronts but with a strong backend motion.
Available November 22nd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

900 Global Origin - 900 Series
Coverstock: Reserve Blend 93 Hybrid - Power Edge
Core: Ellipse A.I.
RG: 2.48   Differential: .050 (15 lbs)   PSA: .020
Layout: 5.5 x 4.5 x 3
PAP: 6" Right, 1 3/8" Up
Axis Tilt: 16°
Rotation: 51°
Rev Rate: 450-500
Speed: 17-18 mph
Location: Vista Lanes - Yorkville, NY
Pattern: Kegel Carbon
Lane Surface: HPL

The Origin is the first of an all new series from 900 Global, that features brand new cover and core technology. Reserve Blend 93 hybrid coverstock with Power Edge was designed to provide unmatched performance on medium to heavy patterns. The Ellipse A.I core was created to push the boundaries of asymmetric performance, allowing for maximum energy retention to generate an aggressive backend reaction. The Origin is the only hybrid asymmetric ball in the 900 Global lineup and should fit nicely between the Harsh Reality and Harsh Reality Pearl. The Origin gave me a great look sliding on 30, looking 17 at the arrows with my breakpoint around 6-7. I was able to move left and not sacrifice ball motion and carry with speed and hand position adjustments. When compared to the Harsh Reality Solid, the Origin was cleaner through the fronts and created more downlane motion. Depending on the pattern and lane surface, the Origin could be the first ball out of your bag or a number two ball after the Harsh Reality starts to burn up. I can see the Origin getting a lot of use in league because of the cliffed pattern. The Origin sets a new standard for dynamic core technology, delivering unmatched control and power with every throw. Stop by your local Storm VIP pro shop to check it out! Available on November 22nd.

900 Global hits a world-series-winning grand slam with the all-new Origin! And when you look at the four excellent parts that make up the all-new Origin, you will see why I call it a grand slam! The new 900 Global Origin is made up of the Ellipse Core, the added A.I. Core Technology, the RB93 Hybrid Coverstock, and Storm's all-new Power Glide finish, and 900 Global melds this quad-combination perfectly making the Origin a fantastic new release by 900 Global! So, let's take a closer look at what makes the Origin so good!

The all-new Ellipse Core with the added A.I. Core technology is an outstanding balance of power, torque, and consistency all wrapped up in one. For a strong Asymmetric Core, I liked how the Ellipse A.I. generates a tenacious rev'ing torque in the mid-lane instead of being lazy or laboring like other big asymmetric cores. As a straighter player, I appreciated how the Ellipse A.I. Core provides a well-defined aggressive motion yet produces a predictable shape that straighter players like to see. With the A.I. Core technology, the Ellipse A.I. Core turns off the pattern with a decisive and determined energy that explodes at impact! The Ellipse A.I. delivers a hard blow to the pins without rolling too forward. Further, with its hard-rolling energy, I liked how the Ellipse A.I. produced a strong continuation we straighter players can count on to carry those lighter or weaker shots off our hand. So, it is clear to me the all-new Ellipse A.I. Core will deliver for any straighter player's game.

The Reserve Blend 93 Hybrid Coverstock is 900 Globals' new blend of solid and pearl perfection, elevating the Origin to a new level of striking power. The Reserve Blend 93 Hybrid delivers smooth traction throughout the lane, which straighter players like me can use to our advantage. I found the Reserve Blend 93 Hybrid cuts cleanly through the front part of the lane without being overly aggressive. As the Origin migrates to the mid-lane, I liked how the Reserve Blend 93 Hybrid produced a smooth-gripping and predictable shape for my straighter game. Lastly, I liked how the Reserve Blend 93 Hybrid produced a crisp and decisive motion to the Origin as it turned off the pattern, giving me the consistency I depend on to do the most damage to the pins.

When it comes to my straighter game -surface is everything! Usually, I will have to adjust the surface to suit my game, regardless of the ball, coverstock, or box surface. However, with the combination of Reserve Blend 93 Hybrid and Storm's Power Edge finish, I found my Origin excellent out of the box! I found Storms Power Edge an outstanding product. When applied to the Origin, I think the two are an excellent fit for any straighter player's games!

In closing, 900 Global knocks a grand slam out of the park with the all-new Origin! The Origin is an excellent combination of Ellipse Core, A.I. technology, Reserve Blend 93 Hybrid Coverstock, Storms Power Edge finish, and 900 Global blends all of these to make an excellent new ball with the Origin to fit any straighter player's game and arsenal. So, stop into your local Storm VIP Pro Shop today and have your Origin drilled up and ready to roll for tonight's league! The 900 Global Origin is fantastic!

From my perspective, the 900 Global Origin is an excellent, versatile addition to the 2024 Storm Products lineup, filling a unique role between balls like the Eternity Pi and Sublime Focus. While the Eternity Pi digs in early and shines on heavier oil with a smooth, continuous backend, it can sometimes hook too early as the lanes transition. On the other hand, the Sublime Focus is great for control on medium-heavy oil but doesn’t have the same backend finish that I get with the Origin. The Origin’s S84 Response Pearl coverstock allows it to store energy for a quick, controlled backend reaction, making it effective on a range of conditions. This balance of control and punch makes the Origin a reliable choice, especially for bowlers who want something that adapts as the lanes change without sacrificing pin carry or predictability. Go to your local SPI proshop and pick yours up on November 22nd!

900 Global Origin – WWRD 11/22/2024

Cover: RB93 Hybrid Reactive
Core: Ellipse A.I.
RG: 2.48
RG. Diff.: 0.050
Finish: Power Edge

900 Global’s new Origin is a Hybrid Asymmetrical piece that is good for Heavy-Medium Volume patterns.  PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400.  Speed: 16.5.  Drilled this piece with the Pin up between the fingers, CG kicked out 1” from the palm, and 1” Left of the Mass Bias.  I threw this piece on a fresh house pattern.  Out of Box ball motion started in the mids with a sharp backend reaction through the pins.  I compared this to the Harsh Reality Pearl.  The Harsh Reality Pearl started earlier in the midlane with a smooth motion on the back end.  This Origin will be a good piece to start a block or game 1 in league with enough oil on the lanes.  This piece will be good for all types of styles.

The Origin features the brand new Ellipse AI core wrapped in RB93 hybrid and finished with power edge. The Origin is the perfect combination of traction in oil and response downlane. The Origin is going to replace my Exotic Gem when I need something with a big engine and the front part of the lane starts hooking too much.

This ball is STRONG!! The new Origin features a new cover and core combo that hooks a bunch. This piece slots above the S2, VEBO, and while its longer than the Ion Max, it can cover more boards. For a shiny hybrid, this ball hooks downlane enough that I can slow hook this ball and chase the shot in. The versatility of this ball really surprised me as well. I can use it to blend out the cliff on fresh, and as they open up it keeps going as I move in. The other ball I use to blend is the Ion Max, but it can get a little early/slow as the lanes start to break down. The cleaner cover on the Origin keeps it in play much longer. This clean, strong, continuous asym is at the top of my bag and really splits the difference between tippy and blendy. The usability here is surprisingly good, and this is gonna be a ball that matches up to a lot of different styles on a lot of different conditions/surfaces. This is hook-in-a-box in the BEST way!

900 Global Origin – stronger than you think!
Review by Chris M. on 27 Nov 2024review stating 900 Global Origin – stronger than you think!Bowlers Info: RH tweener, PAP 4-5/8 x 3/4 up, 380 RPM, 13* of Axis tilt, 60* of Axis Rotation

Ball Layout: 50 x 5 x 70
VLS: 5 x 4 x 4. 5

Finish: OOB

The new 900 Global Origin with the PowerEdge polish is much stronger than I thought!!! I went with a pin down 5 x 4 x 4. 5 where I was wanting to keep the ball under conRead more about review stating 900 Global Origin – stronger than you think!trol for fresher patterns still demanded stronger, but controlled backend. What I didn’t anticipate is how strong the cover and PowerEdge was even in oil! This ball is pretty early for me where I will need more oil for this to be more in play. I can also see this as a transition piece where there is a “cliff”, this piece can more than likely handle those types of transitions. The new core really throws these pins around once it reaches the deck that’s for sure!! If you’re looking for an earlier, cleaner piece, then the Origin is for you!!!

Orientation:  Right Handed
Rev Rate:  400 RPM
Speed:  16-17 MPH
PAP:  4 ½ over and 1 1/8 up

Location:  Enterprise Park Lanes, Springfield MO
Pattern:  High Volume THS
VLS Layout:
Layout 1:  4 5/8 x 4 x 2 ½ (Pin above bridge)
Layout 2:  4 ¼ x 4 x 4 (pin below bridge)

The Origin is a new hybrid asym from 900 Global.  This is the first big Hybrid Asym in the line since the Reality Check.  The Origin is stronger and almost just as quick off the spot as the Reality Check.  The Origin features a brand new cover that feels strong enough to handle volume but doesn’t bog down too much.

The Origin features a new core that’s a single density, no flip block.  No flip block means strong, continuous backend roll.  It makes a strong move without quickly losing energy.  This means you can get closer to the friction without worry of the ball getting too forward.  And you can throw it to the friction early and not have it jerk and burn up.

If you need a strong hybrid, the Origin is perfect!

900 Global...Damn I love this ball! I have one drilled pin up and one pin down. Most of the time I've been using the pin down. Rolls So good! Pin up has a lot of back end. I start with the pin down, once you see the oil carry down I can switch to the pin up. All my leagues, this ball feels so good in my hand, very trust worthy. The new power edge Polish, I kept it at right out of the box finish and I love the way it rolls and reacts! Paired with the brand-new RB93 Hybrid Coverstock, You will be happy with it in your hands as well.

Dual Angle Layout: 55 x 4 ½ x 25
Storm Vector Layout: 4 ½ x 4 ½ x 1 5/8

The Origin features the 93 Hybrid Reactive cover stock wrapped around the Ellipse Asymmetric A.I. core.  The all-new Power Edge polish makes this ball a gamechanger.  This ball is clean and super responsive down lane.  This ball reminds me a lot of the Harsh Reality Pearl but in hybrid form so it a touch earlier but just as strong.  This is a great game one ball on house shot.

The 900 Global Origin is designed for bowlers who seek precision and performance on the lanes. The heart of the Origin is its innovative core, the new Eilpse AI core.  This core is wrapped inside a brand new cover, the R93 Hybrid cover, finished with Power Edge Polish, this ball looks as good as it performs.

In terms of performance, bowlers can expect a reliable mid-lane roll with the 900 Global Origin. The ball excels on medium to heavier oil patterns, providing enough backend recovery to hit the pocket with authority. The balance between traction and skid allows for versatile shot-making, making it suitable for various playing styles.  I have only got to use it on a house pattern, and I really look forward to testing this ball on patterns where I think it will really shine.  This ball for me would be a step down from my Harsh Reality and Ion Max.  Early to mid block is where I anticipate this ball excelling.

Overall, the 900 Global Origin is an excellent choice for bowlers aspiring for consistent performance and high scores. With its carefully engineered core and coverstock, it delivers a powerful punch while maintaining control. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting, the Origin promises to elevate your bowling experience. Consider adding this ball to your arsenal for a noticeable impact on your game!

The newest 900 Series release from 900 Global is called the Origin. It features a new Core/Cover combo that creates amazing length, down-lane miotion and continuation. The Ellipse A.I. core features an Intermediate Differential number higher than you've ever seen in a 900 Global ball. Teamed up with the Reserve Blend 93 cover you get power in the right place. The Origin checks every box, great control, motion and continuation.

I tested the Origin for the first time in league. I took it out game 2 so I could figure out if it was going to look better in the transition or on the burn. My only regret was not starting the night with it because it turns out it was better on EVERYTHING. I noticed right away that I had more forgiveness on my misses than I'd had lately. If I pulled the ball into the puddle it still peeled off and went through the pins. If I over-threw it, it came screaming back. I really took away the over/under of the pattern too. As I bumped left I kept waiting for the ball to stop wanting to come around because with the amount of over-all hook I got out of the ball, I assumed I couldn't see it keep continuing when I got really deep. No issues the rest of the night.

I threw it on a lane with some open play traffic a few days later. The Origin clears early friction remarkably well for so strong a ball, but it also really cuts through the carry-down oil. It's a special ball that feels useful on every lane no matter what condition the oil is in. Compared to even my Harsh Reality Pearl, (Which I loved) its just so incredibly versatile. I'm very hyped by what I've seen of the origin. It's versatility reminds me of the original Zen and I feel like it's going to draw the same following as more people figure out how special this ball is.

900 Global Origin:

Core/Cover: Ellipse Core with A.I. Technology with RB93 hybrid cover with Power Edge finish.

Layout: 5 ¼ x 4 x 3 ¼

To bring you up to speed with the latest High-Performance ball from 900 Global, here is some tidbits on the all-new Origin. First off is the new Ellipse, the Y and Z axles weights are evenly distributed across them and using a single density material on the core allows even balance from the top to the bottom of the weight block, creating the most torque on a core that 900 Global has ever produced. Now for the RB93 cover, yes, it is a hybrid and the 900 Global “reserve blend” now known as “RB”, has a reading of 93. Based on a 1 to 100 scale, it's the most aggressive hybrid cover that EVER been on any 900 Global balls in their history.

Now, on the lanes, I took this new knowledge and applied it to my practice to get the best bang for my practice bucks. Knowing that I could really use my typical HS starting and targets, I just decided to move WAY to the right --- Yes, I am a lefty for those that don’t know me, and used the first tracer board as a target and got to the spot consistently, and the Origin did read pretty well from that spot, went a little strong on fresh, but after repeating on hitting the same zone of the lane, the ball really started to develop better and better as time went on during practice. In league for me, it is not the first ball out of the bag unless I am bowling on older HPL or Brunswick panels because it need the extra length, in which the Origin does provide for me. The more I opened my angles on Pro-Lane, and using the outside tracer board, the better the Origin performed. It outdueled my Attention Star S2, because the more carried down occurred, the S2 started to quit a little, and maybe more because of the finish on the cover, but I did not want to break or change that cover on the S2, because its perfect for me as it is. So, if you are in of that new BIG piece to add to your league or tournament bag, look no further, the Origin is the best bet for you.

Check with your local pro shop to see when the next Matchmaker Live! Event will be occurring in your area to try this and 7 other balls from Storm, Roto Grip and 900 Global.
